Jerusalem: Turmoil In The Holy Land

Day 146, 18:26 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon
War plagues the streets of Jerusalem, end for Israel may be imminent

Jerusalem, Israel- The bombs explode all around as people franticly try to flee. Jerusalem is once again a battlefield and this time it is Israel's last stand. On April, 12th 2008 Turkey made a bold move of invading its southern neighbor Israel. Since then the Turks have pounded the Israelis with 36 victories to a mere 32. Even with the defenders bonus Israel cant stay above .500.

So far the Turkish military has captured the Haifa District, the Central District, and the Northern District with little contest and not only five Israeli soldiers separate them from conquering the most holy city in the world. A loss of Jerusalem would not fully eliminate Israel however, their Southern District will remain intact if not for just a bit longer. Only six people reside in that district but if they can rack up the foreign support to send troops they might have a chance of leading a counter offensive and taking back their holy city.

If anything this battle was just bad timing for the Israelis. The Israeli war was allowed to slip under the radar in the global view mostly due to the fact that most of the foreign support has been going to Canada in their war with the U.S. Had they of had another week or so before this war started there might of been more sympathy from the international world but instead it looks like Israel is about to fall quietly.

The Israelis have run out of options for the most part. They failed to strike a mutual protection pact and they have the 3rd weakest military and 2nd weakest economy out of all the remaining nations. Their treasury does not even have a full gold bar, it totals a mere 0.01 gold so they have absolutely nothing to hire mercenaries with. Israel has some time before they may be wiped off the map by Turkey but if they cant get a stop Eisrael will cease to exist at midnight on Friday, April 18th, 2008 as their Southern District will be secured by Turkey.
