chasaj for Graubunden! December, 2011

Edit: I've had to change to Graubunden because of Slovenia. Don't you love them. So just pretend everything says Graubunden on it 😑

It’s nearly that time again...

That’s right, congress elections are coming up. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to you if you are subscribed to my newspaper that I will be running this Sunday under the Swiss Socialist Society. The only difference between now and then is that I’ll be running in Svizzera italiana rather than Graubunden.

I may only be six months old (actually exactly 6 months the 22nd), but I have already gotten a bit of experience in the world of politics. I am currently the Swiss ambassador to the countries of the United States and Austria. Even though ambassador jobs are not necessarily considered to be big (especially as you sign up for them- which you should, if you haven’t already!), I take everything I do very seriously. As you can tell by my report, which really should only have to be 5 or 6 sentences long, I am a bit of a perfectionist. In addition to being an ambassador to two countries, I also regularly update Swiss (and other) wiki pages on the eRepublik wiki, and I also regularly write articles.

Debut Bill

I have been preparing for this month for a while, so hopefully I'll be able to put the thing I've been working on to use (which won't happen if I'm not elected, sadly). The bill I've been working on is for a project for Switzerland called the New Constitution Act. This act would not create or deplete any treasury; it would help the stability and consistency of our country and help the sanity of our country and it's leaders. As you can tell from the very obvious title of it, it is a proposition for how we'll be able to write a new constitution.

I won't put the final draft out until I'm elected, obviously, but here's what it is in a nutshell: It would simplify writing the constitution. Every article would go through three parts: Public forum, vote, and enactment. The three parts are like this: 1. I propose the base for the article and the people of Switzerland help perfect it. 2. The perfected article is voted on by congress. If it comes out with a 2/3+ majority, it is then 3. signed by the president, me, and the Minister of Interior Affairs. The article is then official law and must be enforced as much as possible.

This idea (which is backed by President Rican) is just one of the many I would like to bring to our great theocracy.

Except for a month-long vacation of 2-clicking in eBelgium, I am a Swiss citizen since birth. I wish nothing but the best for a tiny yet great country.

Soooo:

Hail Switzerland! Hail Renouille! Hail freedom!

And remember...

P.S. When/if I get enough votes on Sunday, I'll change my avatar to a "Don't vote for me" type thing.
