Europe Today (Day 1,489) And: Congress

Day 1,489, 04:35 Published in Switzerland Switzerland by chasaj

Europe Today

It has been a while since I've done one of these, hasn't it? Well let me update you before I begin; I've changed my newspaper details to be about something I like more personally: Lady Gaga, obviously. I've moved back to Switzerland (I was on a 2-clicking vacation in eBelgium) and I'm ready to get back into the swing of things! That is why I wish to run for congressman of Graubunden this 25th. I know, only took 6 months for me to finally run seriously. I'll write an article with more about that soon. I'll be running under the Swiss Socialist Society, by the way.

Europe

United Kingdom, Ireland

There really isn't anything new here. Canada is done with the UK for awhile, it seems, and has moved back on to Ireland. They're putting up a good fight, though; Ireland has most of it's regions and it is currently occupying Wales.

Spain, Portugal, Serbia
Also: Argentina

Spain, who was completely wiped awhile ago by Brazil, the US, and Croatia, is now under attack again by Argentina, who they wiped a few months ago. It seems like it is going well for Argentina... buuut, Serbia just passed an NE bill for Argentina, so who knows what'll happen. Personally, I think Argentina is in for some big trouble. I don't like eSerbia, but you gotta admit, they're good at what they do.

Portugal, meanwhile, is still occupying Venezuela way off across the ocean.

France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Switzerland
Also: USA, Canada

Well, for the first time in many months, Poland is out of France. The US and Canada are now using France and Switzerland to finally fight back at Poland through their mainland Germany (oh, forgot it was there, but they have a few regions). It'll be interesting to see how this goes!

The France-Belgium thing was short and is over, and Belgium is once again boring militarily. The Netherlands is still getting picked on for resources.

Slovenia has been cut off from Switzerland, which I'll talk about more in a bit.

Austria, Czechoslovakia, Independent Czechs, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Hungary, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Ukraine, R.o. Moldova, Greece, Macedonia (FYROM)

Things aren't as exciting in the Balkans as they were a few weeks/months ago, but they are still pretty hot, battle-wise. It seems like Greece and Macedonia are finally getting along at least a little; they're even sharing their bloody conquests of the Middle East.

Serbia has invaded Albania and Italy so that they can go fight Argentina way off in Spain.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is attacking Montenegro again... how cute :3

Not so cute is what's happening in Croatia. Hungary and Slovenia decided to attack her, and only Hungary is doing very well. Slovenia got NE'd (FINALLY) and got her resources cut off, which lead their government to let Switzerland have all of her regions (YAY!!). They're finally learning what is like to have a bigger neighbor attacking you... but they'll never truly understand what we've gone through; we've had way more than 2000 Slovenians fighting us, all of ONE has been pounding on us and we're helpless with 200 people. If only Slovenia pissed the USA or Canada off!

Turkey is a crazy subject these days... there's talk of ONE wanting to wipe them, but Romania might come back and ah! Lots of stuff to it. Romania is currently split between Hungary and Turkey. They do have regions, though, way up North.

The Czech Republic emerging again was a complete surprise to me. According to Slovakia (they call is Czechoslovakia), they are bounded. But I'm not sure if the rest of the world knows that. Also, there's rebels of course. Who knows!

Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Russia, Belarus, Romania

Belarus has all of her regions right now! Let's see how long that'll last.

Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland seem to be in some sort of agreement, but I'm not sure what it is all about. The Quibbler, by Flitwick, seems to be a reliable source of Danish information if you happen to want it, though.

ABC has been almost completely wiped by Russia, Romania, and possibly Belarus (that last region in Lithuania is being attacked by them). Again, it'll be interesting to see how that goes!

Thanks for reading! The best thing you can do in a changing world is stay educated. So please keep checking in, or better yet, subscribe! 🙂
