[TDP] Introducing The Dutch Progressives
Shakerr
Dear citizens of The eNetherlands,
We of Center-Left Netherlands were standing at crossroads. The prominent founders already long left, taking most of the original ideals with them. They left the party with a 'leftist' image, which doesn't suit many of our citizens. In fact, it doesn't suit our own party (anymore). We are not right, nor left. We'd rather describe ourselves as a progressive movement, which does make more sense in eRepublik terms. We've proved our worth in the past, by reforming various institutions, in order to increase the overal efficiency of our country. We'll continue battling for our cause however, as progressivity needs to be maintained over a period of time; we are no radicals, we want to introduce changes gradually.
Thus, we've decided to change our name and proclaim The Dutch Progressives
This party will blow a fresh wind of progress and change within our nation, which is represented in our logo by a windmill. This typically Dutch symbol does not also represent our national ambitions, but also our international; Let's change eNetherlands into a model, internationalized nation which will be as well known as our Dutch windmills are!
You are interested in this new, political movement? Join Us!
Sincerely,
Shakerr, Party President of The Dutch Progressives

As long as you do not pursue progression for the sake of progressing.
Logo represents progression... through a traditional windmill...ehh?
The windmill has always been one of the symbols of Dutch ingenuity.
^one of the OLD symbols yes... also it's more a symbol of nationalism then progression currently.
Bring up stupid Dutch notion of: 'doe maar normaal dan doe je gek genoeg' which is not at all progessive, IMHO.
I think the CLN logo was one of the best logos in eNL history, but I'm sure you'll make a better one soon, progressive as you are.
name is OK though... goodluck!
The windmill stands for a wind of change, and progression and is indeed typically Dutch. This doesn't mean it's at the same time nationalistic of nature. The windmill wasn't created because Netherlands needed an symbol, but because of innovation and necessary needs by making dry land.
Claiming the Dutch windmills aren't progressive is simply not historical correct. The windmills were a sign of progression and innovative at the time. This symbol stand until this day.
I'm sure our designer will improves the logo in the near future.
Hm...CLN was better,but ok. Goodluck! o/
Haha @Shakerr: "Claiming the Dutch windmills aren't progressive is simply not historical correct."
Please review this sentence and correct where necessary.
^ my point exactly 😛
Also Windmills aren't 'officially' "Dutch", they are around since ancient times, and the frist modern ones were probably built in England. But people mostly associate them with our country, because we still have so many of them. Same thing I'm trying to say with the word 'progression/ive' not automatically a Windmill pops into my mind.
But who am I to tell you all this, it's not my party, go ahead and do as you see fit.
So the name is DemNl but better? 😛
actually the first windmills are build in Iran, Persia.
The dutch used the idea to make land.
but good luck 😉
That logo is one of the most unimpressive I have ever seen. Why do many parties in this country feel the urge to create a logo in sky blue? First I&W (when are they finally going to change that abomination into something at the very least acceptable in terms of aesthetics?), then GPN (they saw the light, thank the heavens!) and now even The Party Formerly Known As CLN. My eyes!
Well, good luck to 'our designer' (whoever that might be, as I was the person who designed the much acclaimed CLN logo 😁) and to the party as a whole.
