Hello! Welcome to The Illuminator, again. This article will be one of my longer ones as it contains two big parts: October voting essentials, and the survey results/Part 2 of JNArno’s interview. Let’s start with the voting essentials!
October Voting Essentials
It’s already the fifth in Switzerland, and when the eRepublik clock strikes 12:00, it will be voting time in eSwitzerland. But before you vote, you should learn some basic things about both of the candidates.

Running for the SNC and supported by the SRC: Borgogian
Running for the SFC: Luka Tomasevic Tomas

Go ahead and stalk both of their profiles, right now they are fish in a fish bowl, living only to be observed.

Here are the articles written by both candidates explaining their plan:
Borgogian

Really, those articles are WAY more important than anything I can say in one of my own articles. For the sake of this article, though, I asked each candidate three questions.
Here are the questions:
1. How do you plan on dealing with the Slovenian situation?
2. Do you have economic plans for the nation?
3. Name one word that will describe your presidency (should you be elected).
Here are the answers (so far):

Borgogian
1. Dealing with Slovenia showed to be very difficult in the last month. JNArno, Ilestis and I spoke to President biiis who showed to be a correct person, disposed to give Romandie to Switzerland at the only condition of not attacking Slovenian DeutschSchweiz and without making us paying money.
Other members of his Government asked us money (before 100 Gold, then 50 Gold) unless their President ensured us that we would receive the region without paying.
If I will be asked, Switzerland will payno money to Swiss freedom's oppressors.
2. As far as the economic plans, last month I appreciated the basis reforms discussed in the forum about Food Taxes, approved later in the game. Anyway, I know that they are a beginning of a more complex reform.
The impossibility to elect a congress - due to an Erepublik server bug on 23 September - makes impossible to discuss the new reform with the Congress in game. It is for this reason that I will ensure Switzerland that on 25th October will have a congress, that will make new reforms on: raw materials, food and weapons.
3. BRAVE: because I will always fight for Swiss Independence, using courage and never surrendering to ONE enemies. I will follow EDEN's rules, because my greatest objective is to make Switzerland approach this alliance and collaborate with it.

Luka:
1. Not much dialog with eSlovenia, before we are fighting for independce we will try to make a dialogue.
2. Economy problems and taxation, will be solved with MoFE. The unfinished taxation is about food, Julian already tryed to edit it, but his law didnt pass.
3. Experienced, workaholic and always know what he is doing!

Survey Results and JNArno’s Interview: Part 2
Thanks to the 12 people who participated in the survey! Normally, this would be a remarkably low amount of people, but here 12 is probably about ⅓ of our truly active citizens (at least ones who fight, work, and participate in the IRC and/or forums regularly 😛).

10 of the survey participants are Swiss citizens, while the other 2 are former citizens. ⅓ of them are(/were) in JNArno’s cabinet.

There were originally 14 responders, but one of these people didn’t answer any of the questions and one seemed innacurrate, so both of these sets of responses were deleted.

There are the results of the survey. Again, thanks for corresponding everyone who participated! The final question that you don’t see in the image above is for comments and questions. These are going to be shown... now!
Q: “To Mr.President: First of all congrats for the good work and I hope you get elected once more so you can finish the things you've started. But my question is : How much is being done to get new players in eRepublik? We need more Swiss people to join eRepublik. And as we all know many of the new players quit in just a few hours/minutes. I want to offer them help. Lets organize a squad that helps newborn citizens. Each citizen would get his own mentor.The mentor would help him to let's say level 15. With that we would prevent loosing new players. Have a nice day,Sprne.”
A:First: Thanks 😉 but as you know now, I'm supporting Borgogian. Anyway, about the new players, I don't know if you're swiss IRL but if you're not, here is our problem: We're living in a country were we have three different language. It is really hard for us (french speaking) to connect with others. There are no common website, journal or whatever. For exemple, I'm part of a french baby-boom. But for those who discover the game: you're 100% right, a squad should be created and I hope that the Information team will be part of it.
Q: “Don't you think that launching this Operation Moskito is an easy move for you but but would be really hard to cope with for future presidents that may want to discuss with the new slovenian government?”
A: This is a tough one... Here is what happene😛 During Berengar's month, it appears that they "betrayed" eSlovenia and because of this, I had to prove them that I was not someone who betrayes. Anyway, when we finaly got something from the president who was willing to help us, the rest of his governement decided otherwise and wanted us to rent our region... So... Yes, it'll be really hard for the next presidents to talk with them but my point is: is it really useful to talk with them as we saw that we'll only find an agreement where we pay for our land or where we would only have few regions. This is why I decided that diplomacy time is over and I believe that other presidents would have done the same. Also, I don't believe in Neutrality in this game, so we had to choose a side.
Q: “I think a baby boom would do us good in these troubled times. This of course, is not something only one man can organize, even if he's president. But we should think about this.”
A: As I said in question 1, it's really complicated in this country but you're right: we should find a way to have one: even 10 more active people would be awesome.
Q: “JNArno, would you marry me? 😛”
I'm going to betray my promise to keep you anonymous and tell everyone this is Borgogian 😉
A: I'm your father...
Q: JNArno/Ilestis is a wet dream... that is all
A: Ilestis is my bot*, he doesn't exist so I'm the only wet dream in eSwitzerland!

*In case admins see this: sarcasm. I don't want my article to be responsible for the banning of a president for unreal reasons 😉
