Cogito ergo sum!

Cogito ergo sum!

What do you think about these words: "I think therefore I exist!"? Do you agree with them? I do not! Why? Because I think that "thinking" is only one part of our existence. Because if I can not to say what a mean, it is futile to think. Does then you really exist? Do other people can notice my existence?

So I decided that this article is about the freedom of speech. Because if you think (and thinking is good) and not talking, you do not exist

And that is what is happening today in eEgypt. Some people want to prevent citizens eEgypt to think or speak. Because really, when it prevents one of them, people die, whether literally or spiritualy.

What is the freedom of speech?

Freedom of speech - a human right to freely express their thoughts.At present, includes the freedom of expression both orally and in writing (freedom of the press and the media) and to a lesser extentrelated to political and public service advertising (promotion). Concepts of freedom of speech can be found in early human rights documents.

Today freedom of speech, or the freedom of expression, is recognized in international and regional human rights law. The right is enshrined in Article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights, Article 13 of the American Convention on Human Rights and Article 9 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights. Based on John Milton's arguments, freedom of speech is understood as a multi-faceted right that includes not only the right to express, or disseminate, information and ideas, but three further distinct aspects:
the right to seek information and ideas;
the right to receive information and ideas;
the right to impart information and ideas.

How freedom of speech is achieved?

Richard Moon has developed the argument that the value of freedom of speech and freedom of expression lies with social interactions. Moon writes that "by communicating an individual forms relationships and associations with others – family, friends, co-workers, church congregation, and countrymen. By entering into discussion with others an individual participates in the development of knowledge and in the direction of the community."

What is happening when nation or some part of it is not able to achieve freedom of speech by means mentioned above? eEgypt is example of it. People are fighting against eachother. In RL starts revolutions. Army took to the streets to fight against people who should be protectected by that same army.

Previous governments acted as the drawing.

Let's don't be like that!

Why important?

On a more practical plane, freedom of speech serves many functions. One of its most important functions is that decision-making at all levels is preceded by discussion and consideration of a representative range of views. A decision made after adequate consultation is likely to be a better . A government which does not know what the people feel and think is in a dangerous position. The government that muzzles free speech runs a risk of destroying the creative instincts of its people.

Freedom of speech is also important to governments because when criticisms of a government are freely voiced, the government has the opportunity to respond to answer unfair comments and criticisms about its actions. On the other hand, when freedom of speech is restricted, rumours, unfair criticisms, comments and downright falsehoods are circulated by word of mouth. These have a habit of spreading across the length and breadth of the country through conversation and surreptitiously circulated writings. The government is in no position to answer these views, because they are not publicly stated. It is in a government's interest to have criticisms in the public arena where it can answer its critics and correct its mistakes.

Freedom of speech is the single most important political right of citizens, Without free speech no political action is possible and no resistance to injustice and oppression is possible. Without free speech elections would have no meaning at all. Policies of contestants become known to the public and become responsive to public opinion only by virtue of free speech. Between elections the freely expressed opinions of citizens help restrain oppressive rule. Without this freedom it is futile to expect political freedom or consequently economic freedom.

STOP HARASING PEOPLE AND TO OPOSE THEIR BASIC RIGHTS!

Students of history may well recall the Greek philosopher Socrates (470-399 B.C.E.), whose views and teachings were seen as a corrupting influence on the morals of the youths of Athens. This caused great consternation among political and religious leaders of the Greek hierarchy and led to his death. His plea before the jury that eventually convicted him remains one of the most eloquent defenses of freedom of speech: “If you offered to let me off this time on condition that I am not any longer to speak my mind in this search for wisdom, and that if I am caught doing this again I shall die, I should say to you, ‘Men of Athens, I shall obey the God rather than you. While I have life and strength I shall never cease to follow philosophy and to exhort and persuade any one of you whom I happen to meet. For this, be assured the God commands . . .’ And, Athenians, I should go on to say, ‘Either acquit me or not; but understand that I shall never act differently, even if I have to die for it many times.’”

You are free to dicide. Do you want to be free, or to be in chains, do you want to express yourself freely or to be oppresed.
