I just woke up this morning and came on eRepublik. As is typical of my schedule, I figured I'd get in some clicking before work. It's part of my routine really and has been. A small part of my day and what I had time for along with forums, irc, etc.
What has also become routine is the exasperated sigh that coming on and seeing changes evokes. Well, this is the last time it'll happen. So long eRepublik. You've got one less player to try to milk for gold/cash and kick around.
550 X 4 health a day? Unnecessary. Every 6 hours? I don't want to be here that much and I don't want to try to keep up with it. This is supposed to be a little casual game. At the same time I'm competitive and want to be. This update makes it impossible for anyone with half a life.
This isn't a rage quit. I'm too tired to rage. This is more akin to an apathy quit. I'm sick of it. So long and thanks to all those who did their best to make this game despite the game's continued efforts to the contrary.
A final note to Plato that will probably fall on deaf ears or be lost in the sea of media. I am likely going to sign up to one of your competitors. I still enjoy the concept of this game (at a basic level anyways). You have just failed at it and lost a customer.

Was waiting for the first 'give me your gold' sort of message. I'm contemplating whether I want to be nice and give it to someone or be a dick and take it to the grave 😃

If game is not fun, it's game over. In this case, the game is kind of a mindless treadmill to nowhere.

MY PLAN: This game sucks, everyone knows that. The only thing I enjoy about it is people. I almost quit a couple of times, but I'm stubborn. Now I will only do whatever I find to be fun here. The "ultimate-quit" that I have planed is to ride this puppy into the ground. I want to be here when the Admins have the ultimate fail and turn off the server.
