He has since returned all the money, and this public apology is brave of him.

It is hard for me to forgive you, I have a very bad case of 'If I wasn't here, it's fine' I trust everyone that has previously stolen funds, because they did not steal them while I was here. but you should be prevented from holding a State office for awhile. The numbers involved were much lower than previous raids.

State office? Maybe. State assets? Most definitely not.

Its a brave move to apologise, and helps returning what you stole. However, I do not believe anyone who has stole before has held significant State assets again.

Believe working for eIreland's benefit with a degree of humility is the best way to show an apology. Now that the assets have been paid, you have the chance.
