The Economist ~ Vote Iain Keers
Spite313
Dear friends,
This morning I woke up with a realisation. A realisation that every month, candidate after candidate churn out manifestos with the same promises: activity, accountability, honesty.
These are not really election promises though. They’re simply the yardstick you use to describe the role of congressperson in the first place. They’re what we would expect.
So this month I’m not going to bore you with a long manifesto full of windy nothingness. You know I have experience as President, as leader of an alliance, and most importantly as an economist. You know I am an active and organised person. So I’m going to give you some of my views on a few issues.
PANAM or Terra as it is now calle
😛I don’t like it. I never did like the idea of climbing into bed with the Americans and Canadians on a total whim, and I’ve never been less than honest about that. I am opposed to our membership, but I wouldn’t yank us out of it unless that was in the best interests of the UK.
Gifting Programs. I think the government should fund them, and that it’s a total disgrace that all the taxpayers money is spent without a single consideration regarding player retention other than the formulaic “join the army”. No matter how many people say that joining the army isn’t for them, the government still pushes no alternative for new players.
War with Ireland. Personally I invaded Ireland as CP and conquered most of the East coast. I also invaded and occupied most of Norway. Here is a picture (below) of the British holdings after I finished my term as President. Basically, I think we should be at war with them. Direct war gives us some excitement, something to spend money on, and without the threat of the USA/Canada (now we’re allies) there should be no issue with it.
back to the glory days
So there are three issues which cover three of the main areas government deals with. I hope when you vote tomorrow, you’ll consider voting me for congress in London
Iain

Btw: for my PANAM readers- I don't dislike you. I just don't think the alliance is a natural or comfortable one and that the UK shouldn't be in it.
you should publish more articles about how sexy Bulgaria is, how Brazil's income is bigger than any Terra country and how i lov- NEVERMIND.
>"I just don't think the alliance is a natural or comfortable one"
So the eUK and Serbia is more natural of an alliance than the UK and Canada or the UK and USA?
😒ervia:
Hmmm only thing that keeps eUK in TERRA is good relationship with eFrance and eGermany.....
When eFrance entered PANAM I personally didn't saw any other option for eUK.
If I ever move to UK you will have my vote.
Now, can we hope that you will touch some economy issues in next column?
Say NO to PANAM : )
That's one hell of a Glory Day.
It does not matter , really. Bloody this game is anyway. Just we hope that we'll stay true still. Panam or not UK is a friend.
VOTE IAIN KEEERS??!?!?!?!
Great manifesto. Vote Keers.
>So the eUK and Serbia is more natural of an alliance than the UK and Canada or the UK and USA?
Our closest allies are probably France and Germany if you're talking about the country as a whole. USA and Canada were only negative influences on our decision to join. If France/Germany hadn't been in PANAM, we probably wouldn't have joined. Also, I do think Serbia are way better allies than America, and no I don't think the fact you speak the same language, have a similar cultural background etc etc has any bearing on that.
Ian maybe he is a decendent of your great-great grandfather but judging by his ingame name i seriously doubt xD
If you become PM will you publish the referendum on how we voted before we joined PANAM?
If you are a member of the TUP - VOTE Iain Keers!
Do it now!
Gifting Programs +1 ...probably shan't be in London but more power to your elbw
