We recommend: Erepublik meetings
Titu Maiorescu
In real life, they say "third time lucky" - this goes for real-virtual boundaries as well. Ever since I am in Erepublik, a meeting of local users has been proposed three times now, first at the end of February, scond at the middle of March and third just last week. It was third time lucky, as some of us finally got to see the people behind fancy nicknames and odd avatars. Oh, and we met some of the developers as well.
As I was climbing up the stairs at The Harp Irish Pub in the middle of Bucharest, I was a bit nervous, I must admit. It felt like I was going to take part at something similar to a real life Congress session. I was wrong.
Bomberclad, radu1987 and Malassorte were already there, at the largest table. After checking the whole room to make sure I won't sit with complete strangers that would laugh at me for saying that I was a candidate for Romanian presidency, I finally headed on for the gang. We went past formalities quickly, and soon we started laughing. Butnaru, Alex Craciun and Belea2008 joined us soon, all of them headed hesitantly for our table and asked whether that was the place where the future of Erepublik was decided. The most important guest came soon after that (we ordered beer).
A great surprise for us was when George Lemnaru (head developer) and dannymyth ("head sports spammer") brought us Erepublik T-shirts and stickers - they were greatly appreciated, I am still saving mine for a special occasion! The last to arrive were the fresh Community Manager Cristesco accompanied by mariuk (we suddenly understood why elena.coman, the e😜
resident's e-wife, did not join us...) and Andrei Mocanu; the party begun instantly after that. The beer was at least Q4, and George's gifts even better, hence our wellness surged quickly.
The presence of two presidential candidates, plus the to-be president of another leading party heated political discussions - who should receive the latter's party's votes (in the end we had a spectacular three-way fight, extremely tight, I couldn't sleep a wink last night) and whose program is the best, but we were all silenced by George, who explained a (tiny) few of the mysterious ways in which the war module would work. Questions vaguely answered, plans for the future and really great fun. You can tell by our faces, I'm sure.
From left to right: Andrei Mocanu - butnaru - me, Bomberclad - radu 1987 - Malassorte - Belea2008 and Alex Craciun. Unfortunately, the other eCitizens left before snapshot time. This didn't prevent Belea2008 from being happy. Well, I assume that's why...
The conclusion? We are definite to transform this meeting in a monthly tradition! We did not decide the future of our country there. Or did we? Do you want to know? Join us, or have your own Erepublik meeting in your city - it really boosts real life wellness!

The fun quality was Q100!!! See you in 4 weeks! 🙂
Pfff, my bad. But I wasn\'t there for a good reason. Anyway, I hope that I\'ll be present at the next meeting, and even if I had not mastered (yet) the erepublik ways, I will show you how bottles can really work 😁
Great article Titu! The meeting was awsome and i\'m waiting to see even more people next time, maybe in a congress hall and we could make a big erepublik party ! 🙂 (the link to \"happy\" picture is wrong)
Cool. We should do that in eAmerica...but I\'m afraid of Benn\'s jewfro after some of the stories I\'ve heard>_>
So...why didnt Cristesco\'s eWife join?
you looks handsome guys, too bad no pics of woman lol
😁 Great article! Before the next general elections we have to meet again.
@ Emerick: search the nick mariuk on Erepublik and you\'ll see why.

Your pics aren\'t working
Wow! Kinda brave meeting your political opponents IRL! Looks like you guys had a real blast, great pics. 🙂
Next time count me in 🙂
\"The beer was at least Q4, and George\'s gifts even better, hence our wellness surged quickly.\"
haha! funny 🙂
Well first off you guys were quite brave. But this is a great example. Also I would have to wait a couple years before I could even join you guys(age) . So the meeting would have to be somewhere than a bar.
In Romania there\'s no problem with underage bar entry... So if you come here, you can always join us 🙂
That sounds awesome.
