How to Successfully Send a Ticket to the Admin

How many times you wanted to report a bug or to check with Admins on some game feature, or to report a comment, or even a curse or insult to the Admin/Moderator team? Often players are not sure which is the best way to do it, or what to write exactly in the ticket. This tutorial should cover the topic on how to successfully communicate with admins through the ticket system.

First you need to read the eRepublik rules. Here you can find out what is forbidden and what is allowed, and of course what are the sanctions for offenders, so be careful not to become one, even not knowingly, because finding it out late could be unpleasant for you.

Sending a ticket

When you want to send a ticket (not traveling ticket, but report or bug ticket) to the Admins, there are two ways to select a link for this. The easiest way would be to select Contact link from the bottom of the eRepublik page and it will send you right to the tickets page.

Contact with the eRepublik Admin team

The more complicated ways would be to go to your profile page and select your first friend - "Plato" (if you are still friends with him 😉) or to enter "Plato" in Search citizen box and find him that way. Then you click on his profile and select "Send message". When you do that, there is a following interface:

Here you have 3 main options:
-"View tickets" - Here you can see all your previous tickets sent to the Admin;
-"Submit a ticket" - Here you can send a new ticket to the Admin;
-"Knowledgebase (FAQ)" - Here you should check frequently asked questions and the hottest issues of which Admins are aware of in order to avoid unnecessary communication. However, if you bug them a lot it might (but doesn't have to) make them fix some things earlier than they plan to.

I'll focus on the "Submit a ticket" part, because there is not much to discuss on the other two options.

So, when you open "Submit a ticket" it will show this:

1. Report a bug
If you see some mysterious or unusual events in eRepublik, like some bugs or game exploits, then send a report on this to the Admins. Although it might seem that Admins usually find about almost all irregularities by themselves (yeah, right), as a conscientious player you should report to them on any such thing.

2. Report multiple accounts
If you notice that a certain player has some "suspicous friends", ie. multi-accounts, then you send a report to Admins with all the available documentation on this (some screenshots which indicate such things, links to their profile and similar things)...
Here is a method that could indicate if someone possibly has multi-accounts:
-Generic names of his multi-friends;
-He is the only friend to his multi-accounts;
-That player already has a Society Builder medal;
-More of these multi-accounts work in the owners companies...

Of course, a clever cheater could more or less easily avoid all these things, but it would also demand certain effort to do so... So this could only catch some inexperienced cheaters, but that is enough for a start...

Multi-accounts are significant problem in this game, so I would like to advise you not to make any multi-accounts, because sooner or later you'd be discovered and banned (permanently suspended) on all accounts connected to you and it could mean much of your effort lost and you certainly don't want that to happen.

3. Payments
Tickets on payment issues are mostly connected with problems with buying gold for RL money and sometimes it can happen that you pay for it and you still don't get your gold, so Admins are here to take care of such issues when they occur and help you get it as you deserved it.

4. Game support
Here you can write praises or critics of the game and you can ask various questions about eRepublik.

Writing a ticket
You need to select the topic (or specify it, which is always good to do so Admins could immediately know what is your problem and who should this ticket be addressed to in the Admin team), then you click "Next" and you'll see this:

Here you also have a few options:

"Message Details"
Here you write on the issue that you want to report in short, but clear way.

"Upload File"
Here you need to upload a screen shot which supports your case in order for Admins to see what is it all about and to check on that, what you are writing about (As you know, picture is worth a thousand words). Please keep in mind the dimensions of the picture (800x600 pixels), but you can also combine more screenshots in one picture if you need more than one screenshot. But you can also reduce the size of the picture to fit into the dimensions.

Advice on a good ticket:
1. Initial topic (payments, report bugs...) should be well selected!
2. Ticket should be written in a clear, polite and grammatically correct English!
3. You should mention all the proofs which support your claim!
4. You should check your e-mail in order to see if the ticket was received and what is its status if Admins have further questions on your ticket. You should send them your reply in that case (keep in mind the Ticket number for them to track it down).
5. You should be patient, because sometimes weeks can pass before the things gets solved, but now Admins seem to improve and are trying to solve the real problems as quickly as possible.

I hope you have learned something new today and that now you are ready to send a better ticket to the Admins than yesterday! 🙂

Thanks for reading!!
