[UKGOV] UK officially leaves PHOENIX and joins PANAM

Day 1,192, 12:19 Published in United Kingdom North Macedonia by Foreign Office

Dear Citizens,
After months of discussion and diplomacy the United Kingdom has finally come to its decision regarding alliances. Before we get into the nitty gritty of 'hail' this and that, I'd just like to say a few words, mainly directed at our friends Serbia, Macedonia, Hungary and Slovenia.

This was a tough decision for us to make, as we know it will mean we will probably end up on opposing sides of erepublik's great divide. I would like to point out, however that this is not a decision against you, it is a decision the vast majority of the UK congress has taken because they feel it is in the best interests of the United Kingdom at present.

Not only have we been able to rely on your help, support and friendship for nearly two years, we've also been there when you needed us, and the friendships we have forged and cherished will never, ever be forgotten. We hope we can continue our good relations and in Serbia's case keep the rental deal and the MPP going as both sides agreed such friendships can transcend alliance politics.

The United Kingdom officially leaves the PHOENIX alliance with a heavy heart. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the alliance, working with all the great member countries and personalities involved in the HQ and in the participating countries. So we'd just like to say a big thank you to every country who was involved in PHOENIX at some point and especially to the individuals who made it great and gave us so much joy over our over a year of membership. It is a sad fact of life, that things have to move on, but we will always remember the great times together, and I cannot stress enough, on behalf of each and every member of the UK, regardless of their current feelings, that we are:

immensely thankful for the times that you saved us,
immensely proud of the times we helped to save you,

and most of all
immensely grateful for the opportunities that joining PEACE-GC and later PHOENIX presented our country. Whilst some may take of relations souring towards the end of PHOENIX, we will not dwell on this. Instead, we will remember the alliance is it should be remembere😛 a collective of friends doing what they thought was right, or supporting who they felt were their true friends. Thank you to each and every individual, national army, militia and/or president and minister etc for all of your efforts on behalf of PHOENIX, and most importantly,
o7 PHOENIX

Now moving on to the main point of the point of the article, we hereby declare that the United Kingdom has accepted the invitation of membership from PANAMA HQ, chosen by a vast majority of our congress. This is the fruition of months of negotiations and we are honoured to have been accepted by the membership of the alliance. We look forward to working together with our new allies as well as our many old friends in the alliance, and look forward to a hopefully long, fruitful relationship with each and every member.

Hail the United Kingdom!
Hail PANAM!
