This Is Not Over

Day 1,152, 23:11 Published in USA USA by SamWystan

I don't know if I'll win. I know the rhetoric against me has gotten a lot stronger. Since "political takeover" has been called out by the big guns, and then my supporters have backed me up, the opposition has started calling me a "madman" or "delusional" or some such thing. They've even called The Fieldist into question, saying that it proves I was delusional the whole time, it wasn't just jokes.

Pictures like this probably don't help.

I don't think I'm delusional about the number of votes I'm getting. Together, Iasov and I have made this the most hotly contested election I've ever seen. The sad part is that even when it ends, there will be another 5 hours before the Admins declare the "real" winner. Who knows how they'll swing?

But while the opposition is busy calling me a madman, they're also questioning my ability to run a party. Well, I think I've done a pretty decent job of organizing this election in the last day or so. Imagine if I'd campaigned for a week? My spine grows tingly.

Here's what you can do if you support me. Start organizing the last players left. There's still another hour left in this thing. Contact players currently active: http://www.erepublik.com/en/list/online_users/USA/all/1 <--- use this link to find them. Tell them why you're voting for me. Tell them what you believe in. Tell them why this election is important. It doesn't matter if they're Libs or not, the opposition feels no remorse about using other parties against me.

It appears the leadership of the Libs will flee to Egypt or some such thing if they lose. This is sad, for I hoped to reconcile them afterwards. Or I hoped at the very least they'd stick around and form a faction within the party; one that would constantly oppose me. But their loss.

This election proves one thing: you can set up as many things as you want, you can create a Federal Elections Commission, you can create a Party Leadership, you can build yourself a militia, you can organize with other parties; but you can't stop a determined group of people from really screwing things up. Even if I lose, my supporters can remain a force to be reckoned with. It's up to them, though they're already getting ready.

Until tomorrow.
