Join the new world

Hello again eKorea,
Soon the time will be upon us to elect that most esteemed of bodies, Congress. Which used to be referred to back when we had a nation worth a damn, the National Assembly. This article shall present in one location a list of all candidates, in which regions and under which party banner as well as my worthless endorsement for two candidates in each region.

Basically a continuation of Yonai’s old articles although it could be considered a rebirth of the old ones I used to do during my time in Education. (No link as a certain administration decided to delete all old articles pre-dating it on the Education org.) But I digress, here for your viewing is the list.


Chungcheongbuk-do

In this region I’d like to draw attention to Athasnim and erkasloska, two old as dirt members of eKorean society and neither having done an act that has ever drawn controversy. They’re safe, dependable and you know they have the nation’s interests at heart.

My first choice in this region is William Choi, again a citizen so old you’d think him part of the furniture but what really cemented him in our history was his excellent Kanto War Crimes series during the conflict between eKorea and eJapan eight months back, still an excellent read that demonstrates how radically our friends can become our enemies and vice versa.

Second is sangchi, sangchi came with the first wave of RL Koreans and as soon as he was able started publishing his own bilingual articles which started off with the Green Power motif. He has since then been a prominent figure within our politics and at one point a Presidential candidate.

Gangwon-do

Dan/naD Wilshire - New World Order

The “clear” choice in this region is Dan/naD Wilshire, a repeat minister in the nation and consistent head of the New World Order Party. Agree or disagree with him, you cannot deny his dedication. The second one is trickier as there isn’t much in the way of individuals with prominent histories (although that is not to say there aren’t prominent figures); In the end I’m giving note to MirceaDrac, the Minister of “Sanitation” for his active and controversial comments in articles sure to continue to stir constantly needed debate.

Gyeonggi-do

Gyeonggi-do always unfortunately has a disproportionate number of qualified candidates and this month is no exception. Still, two suggestions; first is Szkudlar. I’m going to use this as a justification enough that by the end of the article it will be a dead horse but is Szkudlar is a true vet of this nation, just look at how many times he’s been in the National Assembly and you’ll see what I mean.

Moving onto the second choice though, DCInside; this is a conflicted choice because I feel DCInside is utterly incapable of debating with any talent and I’ve yet to ever see a comment by him in the media that isn’t petty or insulting to someone.
However, he actually has strong opinions that he will express whether you like it or not and while his method is crude and to me annoying, the expression of opinions is what the National Assembly has always and will always need making him an excellent choice for a vote in Gyeonggi-do.

There’s actually a lack of candidates I have strong impressions of in Gyeongsanbuk-do therefore making it hard to give all too committed a notation to anyone.

The first choice though is HB Ily, HB Ily is the only candidate here that I’ve actually had the chance to talk to and he showed promise for a newcomer sure to flourish under the dedicated eye of Dan/naD in the New World Order party if given the chance.

And secondly Wandutza of the Socialist Party, again I have no strong feelings either way about this candidate but I’ve really been under representing the talents in the Socialist Party so far and Wandutza has done nothing with their term so far to mark themselves as a bad candidate.

I’m going to start with the shameless self-promotion here and just get it out of the way quickly, I believe (of course) that I am as always a wise a choice for the National Assembly, but my second choice is who I’d actually like to draw attention to.

I strongly believe that people in this region should vote for rythemdj (After I’m secured a position of course 😛 ). Although nowhere near as vocal as his contemporaries rythemdj has been a constant if quiet figure in the nation and always an approachable individual, the sad result of which is that there’s little that can be said of him beyond his dependability and consistency.

This is again a region that lacks all that much in greatness for candidates which is a shame considering the significance of Jeju to eKorea, so I don’t have much to say about my two picks.
The first is geunchogowang, for the same reason as HB Ily earlier. An individual with possibilities that deserves a test run.
The second is ManuR, I don’t really have much a reason to suggest this candidate nor do I any other in this region this pick was merely just for having an Enya song for a presentation and if that’s a good enough justification for me it should be for you!

This first choice is one that I cannot overemphasize enough, roland_up. Just, roland_up. roland_up has only recently gained SK citizenship but even before that contributed greatly to this country in donating one of his companies to the state back in September. Although his history lies mostly in eJapan there is no doubting the great things he could help do for eKorea.

Second up is NoMoreHugs, I’ve picking heavily out of the Sin-gan party through-out this because of the sheer number of candidates they’ve put up but I promise this is the last one. NoMoreHugs is another person who has done his part but gone unsung for it, be it his time as an ambassador, his terms in Congress, or his handy articles NoMoreHugs has always been an individual willing to contribute to the cause and deserves the chance to keep doing so.

Central Taiwan

This region has an understandable lack of candidates considering it was only recently that it became a part of our nation in trade for Jeollabuk-do, but that does not mean it is without two great choices for votes. My final two endorsements go to resita2009 and stefanzor for their significant contributes to the country be it in the military or providing counter-argument in the never-ending debate between Romanians and Koreans.
