Southeast Asia

A United Southeast Asia

Let's face it, if the ePhilippines had come to eSingapore presenting an option to merge with the pros and cons listed, it would at least be taken into consideration. In all reality, it is not a bad idea. I personally like the idea. This article is meant not so much to convince you to go for a merger, but instead to at least consider the idea, and not just throw it out the window.

Pros.
• The congress size of a country with 8 regions is 40. This means 4 members per region and 8 wildcards. Compared to the current 10/region, this means that PTOing the country will be harder
• Were as now, each country would need to get an MPP for itself to have training wars, a united Southeast Asia would only need one.
• Not only could we MPP for training wars, we could have RWs.
• The resources of the 8 regions would be available to anyone in the region, and Southeast Asia may be able to become more independent of other nations.
• The populations of all three countries would be able to work together.

Cons.
• It costs quite a bit.
• The national identities of eSingapore and eMalaysia would be lost.
• People who are adamantly against this will be offended.

No-one so far has really been rational when it comes to this whole issue. I merely wanted to present some of the logic behind such a move, and against it.

Just a side note, I would notion to have the country no longer officially recognized as the ePhilippines, but as the Federation of Southeast Asia, or something along those lines.
