Join the new world

Finally, I am back home and I can write a longer article about the Galactic Empire Party, and the aims that we are trying to achieve this month.Let's start with the promotional part of the article:

1) We bring what is much needed in eRepublik, some relief from the prevailing "internet serious business" mentality. We do not want to make New Zealand a joke, quite the contrary. We want to attract the people disillusioned by other countries, where the game is treated too seriously. We do not want to make this a entirely lulzy game, the inner structures of the country will remain intact, with us following our own procedure, with a bit of positive role-playing. Hey, if enough people follow us, we might even have more Star Warsy parties. 🙂 The only question I ask you, is... Why follow the boring and often painful canvas of playing eRep "realistically" when the game enables us to use our imagination to make it a more fun place? I don't see anything that would advise against it.

2) We have serious political aims, we do not wish to just rot in the apathetic existence, we want to expand and get people to join our cause. We want to work for the betterment of New Zealand, and one of our aims is ensuring that as soon as the TO threat is gone, we will gain big numbers in Congress, and hopefully the Presidency. I would like all the party members to be assured, that as soon as the politics will be able to run their own course, we will rise up. If you want to talk to me about our strategies, and long term aims, feel free to PM, and I will describe in detail what we wish to achieve in the coming months.

3) We offer a friendly atmosphere, and soon forum games, possibly a teamspeak channel and many more to integrate, and make sure that your party life doesn't limit itself to lazily refreshing your newspaper articles looking for party votes. 🙂

And here's some fresh info for our members:

First of all, the main priority is ATO. We will be following the Provisional Government, the duly elected Congress, etc. To ensure that we can fend off anybody who will try to cheat his way into Congress through a bunch of Serbians. As such, all people running in our party will be BLOCKERS, and will not have ATO support. This doesn't mean that they are unable to be elected, it just means, it's going to be hard. Additionally, Forum Primaries have started at http://erep.co.nz our national forums, and I would advise you to vote. Additionally, our forums are almost operational. (See what I did there?) So I would advise you to join them. I just need some time to sort out the sections, and we'll be well on our way to fun.

Second of all, we need a cooler logo. As such, I announce a contest for everyone to participate in, with the winner being rewarded with 2 gold worth of ads from the party budget. What do we need? We need a logo based around the Imperial Logo from Star Wars, that would include the Party Name, and some sort of connection with New Zealand. The Contest ends on the 26th, with all the projects posted in this topic. Later a vote is held, and a new logo emerges. The contest is directed to both party and non-party members, but in case of a draw in the polls, the party members get priority. 🙂
