Thank you for the Support: Cabinet Announcement

Day 1,051, 02:46 Published in Japan Japan by Akki

Thank you, citizen of eJapan for all your support. It was one of the more competitive elections we had in a while. It is good to see that our citizens had choice in the election and vote for different candidates who all had different visions; it honors me greatly to see that 50% of eJapan supported the direction I proposed and helped me propel myself to this position.

Now, it is time to move on from all the election frenzy. Japan may divide for election, but it is healthy for any nation to undergo that. In the end, it is important to come together as one community and to voice your opinions to improve our nation and help our country help us. This is one country; this is our country. There is a community of eJapan which we are all part of.

On this regard or in future, if any citizens have concerns, comment, or questions, please send me an in-game message, or in IRC or even on the forum. I would love to chat with anyone interested and hear closely to what people are thinking. I am always open to talk with people, and if you can catch me in the IRC or if you leave me a message in-game, I will make sure to get back to you as soon as possible. I hope many will take this opportunity to contact me or get together with me, because I’d love to listen to people to help formulate or edit my ideas regarding our future policy to better fit our people’s needs. There is great deal of flexibility available here as nothing is set in stone: the general goals are set, but the pass we take to achieve those goals are still largely up to the people of eJapan to decide.

With this, I would like to announce my cabinet and open spaces I have within the cabinet which I am hoping some interested citizens will apply. I am sorry I couldn’t release this before the election so that people will have better idea about how my administration will be structured, but I was still waiting on the confirmations from some (that I found urgent) which delayed the release of my article. Here are the people who will be helping our nation progress for the next month:

Minister of Defense: Kijuju
-Assistant Minister of Defence: (Open to applications)
-Senior Defense Advisor: Dokomo
-Junior Defense Advisor: Geno Garon

Minister of Finance: Danyeo

Minister of Foreign Affairs: Alfred Ball
-Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs: (Open to applications)

Minister of Interior: (Still looking for someone. Contact me if interested)
-Assistant Minister of Interior: (Open to applications)
-Media Relations and Communications Officer: Nowe

Minister of Culture and History: DankChronic
-Assistant Minister of Culture and History: (Open to applications)
-Senior Historian: Laurana Psion
-Senior Event Coordinator: (Open to applications)

Minister of Immigration: Aston Reynold
-Assistant Minister of Immigration: (Open to applications)

Government Volunteers: Open to applications (no limit)

As everyone can see, I am leaving many spaces open for people to apply. One thing I should mention is the fact that I do not yet have Minister of Interior (or Minister of Internal Affairs) appointed. While I had someone very capable in mind, he simply didn’t have time to take on the position for now. As such, for the time being, the position will be vacant until some replacement can be found. If anyone is interested in the position of MoI, contact me so I can consider you for the position. As for the time being, I will be serving as a temporary MoI until permanent replacement could be found.

Also, position of Senior Event Coordinator is open as well. This was a position which I mentioned on the last article. The main duty of this position is to come up with community events for eJapan that will get people to participate. Minister of Culture and History will still be in charge of Monthly Empress Day and Cultural monthly events. This position will work somewhat independently from MoCH to create non-cultural and casual events for eJapan for people to participate simply for fun. If anyone is interested in running this program to provide entertainment and activities for the community, contact me right away. I would love to get this program started and give some more unique flavors to the community of eJapan.

Also, there are many positions open for others as well. As you can see, with exception to Ministry of Finance, there are assistant positions open for all other ministries for anyone who is interested in serving in the ministry to apply. Application is simple. Simply, contact the Minister of whatever Ministry you are interested in becoming Assistant Minister in, and say a little about yourself. If the Minister approves your application, he will contact me to let me know and you will become part of the team, working closely with the Minister of the Ministry you are part of. All ministers have the right to decline your application if he chose to. So some department could end up with multiple Assistant Ministers to help run the Ministry while others may have none.

I mentioned Government Volunteers on my last article; they are position that is open to all as well. If you are interested in helping out the government but do not want to commit to any Ministry or if you simply want to get involved, this is perfect position for you to apply. We have many places where we can use help of people to help improve this nation and we would love to have all the help we can get from the community. Application is simple: either contact me in-game or in IRC, and tell me why you are interested in becoming Government Volunteer and what kind of things you want to work on to help. Also, if you have ideas for eJapan, you may want to mention them there. I am setting no limit on the number of people serving on this position, so everyone who is interested and have the energy will have a spot.

Lastly, I would like to introduce the team that will be working with me as my cabinet for the next month.

I am excited to have Kijuju as Minister of Defense as he is highly skilled in organization of people and running business. Our two best past Ministers of Defense, Dokomo and Geno Garon, will be serving as Advisors to the army to help our army get organized again. Both advisors are equally capable; I believe their wisdoms will help create new model army structure for eJapan that is both efficient and active. Kijuju, Dokomo, and Geno Garon should be able to work closely with me and with themselves to help get the Japanese Imperial army in shape again.

I am equally excited to have Danyeo and Alfred Ball continue as a Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs, respectively. There are both capable people who have done excellent job in their respective position in the past. With both experience and activity, I believe both can outperform their duty of their position and contribute much more to other areas of government where we many need help.

Nowe will be working as Media Relations and Communications Officer this month as we try to push for open government and more activity in media, forum, etc. He will be working closely with me to help ensure the access of information in eJapan is secure and help keep people up-to-date on what’s going on with the government. In the past, this duty has largely been ignored, so I hope Nowe and I can both work very hard to address those past issues and help make things more available.

DankChronic will continue as Minister of Culture and History. He will continue providing cultural events for eJapan and work on the eJapan history project. Laurana Psion will also be joining the team to help out with the eJapan history project to help get this project rolling. Community affairs of eJapan is very important for our future, and It is my sincere hope that Ministry of Culture and Event can tackle these issues and help build our community.

Finally, Aston Reynold will be serving as Minister of Immigration to continue his recruitment effort with Japanese Tourism Board. I have upmost trust in Aston that he will help this project take off and allow more people to be aware of our existence in the eWorld. In this process, hopefully more people would join our community and help improve upon it. I have full confidence in this project, and wish to continue it.

I do not have Vice President for simple reason. I do not think this position will be as important when I have so many good people working in the cabinet who can respond to situation when I am absent. I have full confidence in everyone serving on the Cabinet and that they will have the capability to deal with issues that might come up when I am not online. Furthermore, I also have full confidence in our nation’s Congress and the Speaker of Congress elected thereof. In case of emergency, I believe both the cabinet member that are president and the Speaker of Congress can step in and run until I can get online. I think it this is better method than to have Vice-president who doesn’t know what’s going on and only use the position as a title for their desire.

Again, thank you eJapan for all your support. I will release more articles about the administration in the upcoming days, but for now, I will leave it at this. If you have anything to say, just leave a comment here or give me a Private message. I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you eJapan.
