Your Guide to V2, Part 4 (ORGs) * *Updated* *

Day 968, 23:31 Published in South Africa South Africa by Zagarius

Welcome back for another part of this multi part series on V2 changes, this part will focus on ORGs/Companies and their new functionality. Not too mention some new kinks to work through. NOTE: I have been using my ORG as the example of this article, I had a Raw Material and a Weapon company from which to draw my answers from. If my answers are different from the other industries, please let me know where and why.

Starting Up
As in V1, you have the option of having your Citizen own a company or create an ORG. No changes here, if your citizen owns the company you cannot work for any other company. Best Option, start an ORG only costs 5 gold and need to be Level 11. Now the fun begins.... You have 2 choices to becoming a CEO, first is by buying a company that is for sale and second is creating a new company. Here are the Pro/Con for each.

Creating a New Company
To start a New Company you will need 20 gold, but you will also need another 20 gold On-Hand making this a total of 40 gold needed to start a new company. Not the easiest thing to do, without using RL money to boost your reserves. You may have to do this as there may not be a company for sale in the country/region you are looking in.

Company for Sale
Self explanatory here, a company is for sale and all you need is the sale price and nothing extra. Just make sure you review the region and country the company is in or you may hate yourself in the morning.

Now the Efficiency for each industry has not changed (i think):

10 employees are needed for the following: Food, Moving ticket, Rifle, Tank, Artillery, Air unit, Raw materials
20 employees are needed for the following: House, Hospital, Defense system

This means to get the most out of your company you need your company to have that many workers to be 100% efficient from your workers.

I previously went over the various profession and which Industries they affect, this can be found here (Part 2). For all industries except for Raw Materials, you need a variety of professions to complete a single product unit. Let's take Tank for the example here...

You will need 4 professions working together each making a specific piece of the tank and based on their skill level will determine how many component pieces they create. These components will continue to pile up until all 4 are made and all it takes is a single piece from each component to make a single tank. Say you have in your stockpile 10 Ammunition, 12 Barrels, 18 Bodies and then your workers create 9 Engines; your company will automatically create 9 Tanks. Understand?

Click here to visit the Wiki Page-Company (presentation page).

Again, except for Raw Materials you will have an option Design Product where you go to upgrade your Customization Points to your company. There are 5 different customization levels, the level defines the amount of customization points available for customizing your product. Each level gives company more customization points.

The amount of customization points depends from the number of product components (CP = Customization points). There are three (3) different varieties of CP companies based on the number of components/professions they take to make a single unit:

Product has 2 components:
Food

Level 1 = 30 CP
Level 2 = 60 CP
Level 3 = 90 CP
Level 4 = 120 CP
Level 5 = 150 CP

Product has 3 components:
Moving ticket
House
Hospital
Defense system

Level 1 = 40 CP
Level 2 = 80 CP
Level 3 = 120 CP
Level 4 = 160 CP
Level 5 = 200 CP

Product has 4 components:
Tank
Rifle
Artillery
Air unit

Level 1 = 50 CP
Level 2 = 100 CP
Level 3 = 150 CP
Level 4 = 200 CP
Level 5 = 250 CP

Click here to visit the WIKI page Customization level

The cost of upgrading has not changed, but here is the breakdown:

Level 1 to Level 2 = 20 GOLD
Level 2 to Level 3 = 50 GOLD
Level 3 to Level 4 = 100 GOLD
Level 4 to Level 5 = 200 GOLD

Once you choose your upgrade you will receives the CPs to use, you must use all customization points to continue. Once your save, you Cannot Change the CPs. You can modify it ONLY unless you increase/decrease quality of your company! Now here is a new monkey wrench for those who want to upgrade... there are Effects for Upgrading!

Sure upgrading your company allows you to produce better products. However, you need to seriously consider the following before upgrading:

- All your products in the stock are lost, you can put them into the marketplace, but you can't remove the offer. If you do so, they will disappear. You can only change the price! This last part is not confirmed!
- Any product components and their queue will also be removed. This is where you will lose more than the cost of upgrading.
- Raw material usage is increased Click here to see the WIKI page Raw material usage
- Workers lose more health working at your company. Wiki does not say how much, but it seems it is exactly like V1. Depending upon the Q rating of the company you will lose that in wellness!

Did You Know?

Is your company in a bad market and not worth keeping? Did you buy a company in a crapping region with low resources? Well did you know you could Close your Company and get paid 10 gold for it? Go to the same page you would to sell your company and at the bottom you will see the text:

You can dissolve your company for 10 Gold

You will see a confirmation pop-up and after clicking yes that is it...

If you think I missed something here or want me to looking into something I have not touched upon, please make a comment and/or PM me. I will respond in 12 - 24 hours.
