Presidential Update

Yesterday I wrote an article giving hi fives all around and saying how great we were doing. Before I even got the article on line things had turned. That is the nature of these things. Before I talk about the whys and what was to blame and what we are doing about it I want to take a step back in time.
History Lesson
It was only a week ago that there were shouts and posts in Dail yelling “where is our War Games”. “we want real war”. It seems kind of funny now typing that. But I want to go further back in our history; I want to talk about choices we made as a nation a long time before that. My memory is shot because I am a cow but several months ago England was under attack on all sides and almost wiped out as a country, they was fighting to stay alive. Before this we had always been a neutral nation, the Swiss of the eWorld. We choose to side with the Americans and Eden at this point after much debate. Since then we have relied on the Eden/bro countries for MPP to protect us from the UK and phoenix who have not forgot which side we supported. We have joined Bro and have built up good relations with the nations in it. All this has brought us to where we are today. The world battle fronts are in Ireland now. We can say to our friend’s thanks for having our back and giving us a crack at the North but we do not want to give anything in return. I am choosing to stand next to our friends when they need us and show them we can be trusted, dependable, and ready to fight when needed.
Stress Levels
Stress levels have been high with some of our citizens recently. I have heard of a few F-off being thrown around. There are three reasons. People do not know what is going on or why choices are being mad. They do not like the plans or direction the country is going in. They are putting long hours in to help out nation and are getting burned out. So I am going to try to quickly address all three. I will provide daily updates till thing settle down or till you get rid of me as CP, which ever comes first. I am also available most evenings on IRC for anyone who wants to ask a question. I will provide daily updates to dail and weekly to cabinet. Now, for those who want things back to the way they were remember. Things are cyclic in this game, one day everything will be restored back to normal. For the rest of you feeling stress and wanting to tell some one to F-Off over something silly, I got 5 words for you. Look at your computer screen and repeat after me “It is only a game”. Learned that from eDr. Phil.
What Happened Yesterday
Our side lost the initiative in the war. One of the CP’s of our friends had a computer problem. He explained to me what happened but to tell you the truth, I am not sure if he was talking in a foreign language or IT talk. I am not great with technology. The bottom line is this that gave phoenix the edge for a day. As a tactical move the Polish had to attack cork. They discussed it with us before hand. This is a big blow to Ireland, not going to sugar coat it. We have a large population there, and a Q5 hospital. We meet with them and expressed our concerns. Then agreed on compensation terms which have been met. We also reaffirmed our support for them and told them the Irish people will stick by them; we do not leave friends sides when times get tough. Every war has it ups like this last weekend and defeating the English, and its lows of loosing cork temporarily. Time to draw a line under it and move on. The end goal is in sight.

UPDATE:
Ireland won the biggest battle in our history tonight is SE. Phoenix tanks hit the wall hard but we held. Now we have initiative.

Just in from work, perfecting timing, thanks for the update Moo.
While I don't like the thought of losing my beloved Cork (but they can take Kerry if they want! lol) I recognise it is a necessary sacrifice and if we are to lose it the Polish are good people to lose it to.
You are doing heroic stuff moo. If nothing else you will definitely leave a lasting legacy from your time as CP.
I used to watch the Muppets, it was not Gonzo that heckled, it was the two grumpy old men in the balcony, lol.

Gonzo914, calm down we are well able to restore Ireland back in it's economic form when the land bridge is fully completed with the help of Poland and our allies. Now learn these 5 words "It is only a game"
I think the influx of new players, and the excitement and cooperation war has brought will not only replace the economic and social wellbeing we had, it will imrpove upon it steadily, over the future.
Gonzo, you clearly have no idea what your talking about. We are at War. Learn the mechanics of War before you run your mouth off. Cork and Kerry is a temporary measure. Now if your worried about your businesses, you should buy a cheap Polish Export License when you have the chance. When this operation is over all wars will be closed and there will be no embargoes.
And another thing, if you want to call for impeachment, go ahead and do it, don't sit there running your mouth, just bloody well do it, release an article and call for it. If not, then stfu and support your country like everyone else here has been doing. All of your comments in the last couple of articles have been that of an uneducated buffoon.

@ Gonzo914 - You shouldn't be commenting here as you refused to fight for Ireland when I instructed you to do, so as you were in the IDF
irishbhoy -- I know the mechanics of war, and I know how a region was needed to bridge Poland to the US. But I also know that Cork/Kerry is not one bit better for than than is Shannon, and the Poles already held Shannon. Where is the wisdom in giving up our most populous region as a land bridge when Poland already had a perfectly good alternative?
Marcus -- I did fight for Ireland, just not in the bullshit little skirmishes for New Jersey and Connecticut the IDF was being ordered into -- and I spent a considerable sum providing my own weapons and buying wellness boxes. I haven't taken a single weapon or gift or ticket from the IDF, so I feel no compelling reason to follow orders that are palpably flawed. That's why I asked to be discharged.

@ Gonzo: there's got to be secrecy surrounding military moves before they occur. From what I've read in other comments it seems cork/kerry was necessary to give poland the initiative back, which is the most important aspect of war. It does look like there was abit of wasted damage coz of a communication breakdown but nobody is perfect.
The Moo, Irishbhoy and the rest of the government, IDF, ICA and all the other nations helping us have been awesome so far, dealt brilliantly with a defence of eIreland & US land bridge which takes alot of time and effort to organize. They've given us the most excitement in ages. I wish I coulda been online early enough for beating the British back in the South East.

Very impressive actions by the Irish these past few days. Every plan does not survive contact with the enemy so everything will not go how we plan. We are holding our own with the big boys.
