Austrian National Opinion Polls
The eAustrian National Opinion Polls have been introduced as a way to allow the citizens of eAustria to have their opinions and thoughts heard. It allows any citizen of Austria, in fact any citizen of the world to take part in - although we do try and make it solely an Austrian opinion poll, we cannot help if a citizen from another country votes in it.
When an Opinion Poll is posted, the results will follow two days after. You will no longer be able to participate in the polls once the results have been posted. There will then be a two or three day break from the poll unless it is followed by the 2nd or 3rd of a month. Our opinion polls will be published via our organisation newspaper everytime we create one.
Some of the questions will include current events and a particular theme for that poll - it could be Foreign Affairs for one poll and Media for the next. Some questions may be repeated over and over again to see results over a period of time to produce a graph at the end of the month before the following presidential elections.
How can I become involved?
Well there are many ways in which you can help in allowing Austrian citizens to have a voice, we'd be extremely grateful if you could forward any newspaper article on to your eAustrian friends to take part in the poll. This will bring more accurate results each week which represents more of the population of Austria - with 100 opinions submitted we could accurately predict an election before it happens than having only 30 people vote.
There are other ways you can help though and one of these is through donation, if you donate some money or gold to the Austrian National Opinion Polls Organization then you will be helping us advertise the Opinion Polls to allow more people to get the message and vote in our polls for a more accurate result.
Logo Competition
We are launching a competition for our logo, all entries can be submitted by personal message to this org and a vote will be issued in a weeks time to allow you to vote for your favourite logo.

what about someone voting more than once to fake the poll for whatever reasons?

That'll be dealt with, there are ways that can be told by the results page on google docs, for example, 3 or 4 lines of results with the exact same choices.
We may also have to start asking for Usernames when you complete a poll if we assume that many people are abusing the polling system. The last one went fine though which was quite good.

But this might have a negative effect on elections though. If there is an overwhelming majority of votes for one candidate in the poll people might think "Nah he'll be elected CP, PP, whatever anyway" and they won't submit their own vote. Those votes might sum up and actually change the result dramatically even though or actually because it was predicted in the poll. That was just a example of rl, but who knows it might apply for eRep too.
