National Monuments of June

Day 927, 10:49 Published in by Plato

Dear citizens,

Tomorrow we'll have once again presidential elections in eRepublik, and we would like to wish good luck to all candidates. We know that all of you are eagerly waiting details about the new modules; we can tell you that next week we'll publish the Insider dedicated to migrations, explaining what turns into what. In the same Insider we will also make a very important announcement.

But for now let's take a moment to admire the National Monuments received for the past month's activities. Seventeen countries fulfilled one national goal, eleven fulfilled two national goals and just two countries fulfilled all national goals: Denmark and Hungary. Congratulation to all 30 countries!

Now, let's see some interesting National Goals, fulfilled or not. Let's start with the hottest topic of the past month, the Liaoning affair. If this name tells you nothing, you might have heard about “Lion King”, as it is nicknamed. The United States had the ambitious national goal of conquering this important region, and together with their allies they really tried hard to pursue it. In the end, Serbia secured Liaoning, but we are sure that China will set the same national goal of regaining their homeland again and again, until victory.

As all their resources had been thrown into securing Liaoning, Serbia hasn't accomplished any of its national goals. Same story for Romania, which was unable to conquer Central Hungary or to increase its population and GDP. With the heat of Liaoning so close to their borders, Russia sacrificed its own goals, like the conquering of Finland and helped with the war efforts in Asia. Their strategically important geographic location proved to be very important.

So, Romania wanted to get Central Hungary, Russia wanted to erase Finland from the map, Finland wanted to bring the battles on Russian soil and the USA wanted to conquer the Serbian-owned region of Liaoning. All these attempts have been unsuccessfully in the end, but brought fun in the New World. Poland aimed to keep its regions, and fulfilled that. Spain also aimed to keep under control the currently owned regions and managed to do so. This delays furthermore the French dream of reunification, as Rhone-Alps and Aquitaine are still occupied. We'd say that China and France, these are the places to look upon.

Once again, good luck to all candidates tomorrow, and we hope to have even more national goals accomplished next month.

Regards.
