Another perspective on recent developments in the Indian-Iranian relationship
gorgepir
Hello.
So we are fighting again. We consider this as liberating our Pakistani friends that you guys are oppressing. Of course you have your reasons, like why did Pakistan let Serbia through (ironic now that you have asked for Serbias help to oust eUS if they dont comply, isnt it?) or why did they once, a long time ago attack eIndia. For these reasons, this is the second time you have attacked Pakistan to erase them. I am sure it is justified to do this again (hint: sarcasm).
Over the course of the past presidential term, we, from the Iranian side, tried our hardest to find some common ground to stand upon and work with you guys. We had no preconditions, except that any agreement has to be acceptable and stable for both sides. I was sincere, and truly hoped for a new beginning for a strong bond between Iran and India. I can honestly say I tried my hardest. I know some will think that I am lying and will say we are cheating and trickery, to those I say you are bores and conspiracy theorists. There is only so much that I can do to bridge gaps. The rest was up to you guys. Unfortunately, even though some people in the government tried, others fell way short. Even though officially Jelen was in charged of the negotiations, and I thought he was interested in finding some common grounds, David was the real one in charge and while he kept on insisting that he was not the one who had the final say, he was the "father of India" and his wish it seemed outweighed others. Unfortunately, however hard I tried and pushed to find some sort of agreement that both of us could agree to, David kept on restating his demands and what he wants, with no respect to what we could agree upon. The negotiations were obviously not going to work, when only one side (and to be frank, the side with more active citizens and more damage per fight) is willing to find ways to make something work, so nothing was achieved and I think no closer bond was in the horizon.
What he wanted was a noble thing, I am not disagreeing with that. He wanted a unified India. What we wanted is to find someway to guarantee a strong bond between the countries, not to be "tricked" by India, since we obviously cant be allied with people who dont sincerely wan to. And since the eUS is here for awhile (around 2 months according to our talks), we thought at least there was some form of agreement to be made. So India, I must say, the recent negotiations talks have been unsuccessful, and I can with certainty say that the sole blame lies on your (behind the scenes) leaders. As I said in that meeting, there are only so many times during two countries history that both sides are willing to have talks and want to improve relations. Unfortunately, this was not one of those times and however much we tried, we were met by people who were just interested in their own needs and were stalling.
This term is almost over, and I doubt I will be a foreign minister anytime soon. So hopefully, some time in the future, the Iran-Indian alliance will happen, when both sides are ready for it. It would definitely require a drastic change in the mentality of your leaders though, and for our elected leaders to be able to look past your constant unwillingness to find common ground. If you want to be allied, you cant only think of yourselves. You need to think about both sides.
Cheers India

@swath
You live in the past. Like way past. Like 300 edays have passed since that time. Maybe it is time to think about your future.
@shadow
where did we say we did not agree to a unified India. On the contrary I said it was a noble idea. I guess you read what you want to, not what I really wrote.

Failed friendships 😐
Who's the culprit?
Iran ? India ?
Or "father of India" ?
What a load of rubbish, your personally accusing me of refusing to deal with you let me say one final time a few things......
1 - JELEN has been talking to you solely for weeks.
2 - YOU requested to Jelen that I be present yesterday not me.
You asked for the following.....
1 - JHARKHAND on rent
2 - Peace signing in our war
3 - Friendly non commital alliance between India, Iran, Bulgaria, Turkey to build relations
4 - Future help and support if we were attacked on home soil
Mine and Jelen replied.....
YES TO ALL apart from Jharkhand as INDIANS (not just me) want to see a Whole India for the first time in a long time hence our request to return Karnataka.
Get your facts right and stop the crap, you made it clear its Jharkhand or no deal, that is your choice we respect it but dont come blaming me for your arrogance.
hey David...no need to give an explanation to these backstabber....They only want our high regions......
Fail Iran!!
good one man
gorgepir is one of the best
@david
i won't repeat myself here.
u can check my comment under the article of mr Ali Rajabi in your media
and u can repaet forever ur lies (in fact there's some truth in the comment given above by u, u'r going to be better man), but not to us
@David
#1- We also wanted to change the High region.
Ok. See and Define 🙂
I hope that you can have a Whole India.
@intelarpit
Do you know where's fight button? If you find it, pls tell me. lose it.
Iran ? India ?
Or "father of India" ?
You don't have to get angry David. I respect your decision, and I am sure it is in the best interest of India, not just yourself. I was explaining everything that happened as we saw it. Unlike you, I don't go running around accusing people of arrogance, when we had what I consider a completely equal deal. The deal was equal for both sides, both sides giving up some stuff to gain something much more important, friendship. You were persisting on your notion of a complete India (not Jelens from what I saw). That's fine. But we can always check the logs.
Oh and from your comments here and what I have wrote above, I think it is obvious for any unbiased person to see who was trying to help relations and who was just trying to stall.
I do appreciate your efforts, but I have to correct you about something. "You need to think about both sides." Those are your words, point is, you didn't think about your own words. How many times did India try to talk with Iran and how many times did Iran just walk away for no reason.
Again using your words "You need to think about both sides." As you know there are multiple sides for India, we also have the Indian - US side. We still consider the US as a (good) friend, even though we want them to return our land. And for that, we do treat them with respect instead of just kicking their *sses out of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh immediately. Discussing such a move does take some time and the US also needs to plan about moving their citizens away.
And about David, well you should've come to other government officials if you ask me. I didn't exactly know what was going on since Foreign Affairs isn't my ministry, but as a very experienced government official (if I may say so, after 1,5 years in eIndia) I can help on this matter. And next to me there are more Indians who can help on this matter. It's on only David and Jelen.
Anyway, I do hope that we can work it out very soon. But you must understand that this is a pretty big step for us too and it takes some time to get it all done.
About Pakistan, it is a Training War, we do not intend to hold the Pakistan regions any longer than necessary. But since you already attacked us there is no reason for us to give back regions now, as that would only make us lose our training war. As long as the Malaysian war won't return, we'll be looking for Training battles. The (kinda) hard way like this, but hopefully a better and friendlier way if the Malaysian battles don't start again soon.
Brood you live in the past brother. If you are really always going to bring up bogus arguments about what happened awhile ago when I was not in charge, how long do you think I can wait until you decide to change your minds? To me, this time, India is walking away from talks. I guess that makes us even. I dont know if that really makes us happy though.
And in our negotiations, we actually pointed out the delicacy of your situation with eUS, we never said anything about your deals with them because it is not our business, and even said that we could even make a short term deal, and be gone when eUS is gone, so you can have your "whole India" idea out of the deal, and we can get our goal which was a stable friendship on the right track. From those negotiations, I felt that Jelen wasnt opposed, while David was. It could be a trust issue, but I really cant do much about that. I thought that enough time has passed, but obviously it hasnt. What I am almost certain of is that I was the most pro Indian-Iranian relations Iran will have for a long long time. Too bad I couldnt achieve my goal. Maybe some time down I can realize it, now however, it doesnt seem close at all.
@broodroosternl
"And about David, well you should've come to other government officials if you ask me."
he came to us as eIndia Father.and the backscene ruler of the eIndia having your official man (mr jelen). could we refuse him?
"I can help on this matter."
it's so good here. i like that.i wish u where at that final meeting instead him.
"we'll be looking for Training battles"
in fact i don't like that.why your neighbor's regions should look to u as regions for tw?
=====
i suggest which we let some time pass and then we have a meeting and this time all of u(srachit, david, devoid, abhi, u,shail, ashwamedh and your official gov men) + our gov men(beleive me we can make decisions here) and make a new friendship.
but atm we should let the time pass. eIran Mofa
And i still do wish better conditions for better relations.
Jai Hind - Long Live Iran
If you look at my comment you can see that's just a tiny bit gorgepir.
@Enzo: Yes you can refuse it then, if you think David isn't the man you should talk to, then explain the whole case to someone else. For example our current President.
About the TW, well that's your opinion. We at the moment don't think that Pakistan really deserves our friendship (they've backstabbed us enough). And since we didn't have any training wars and didn't see another quick option we took this one. (India people do tend to get bored quick, that's why we're trying to have as much battles as possible).
Hmm, so now you are walking away from us? Though of course things depend on the next Gov, but I'd say let's continue right now, just change the way we are talking. I've seen this before, both our countries have said we should wait enough times, but waiting almost all the times 1. Takes a lot of time and 2. Brings back hatred between our countries.
Brood, dont try to put this on us. You guys walked away. And now there is like 3 days left till the next president. We really dont have that much authority any more (since I will not be part of the next government and neither will True), since any thing we agree upon would take a few days and by then, we will not be in charge of the foreign diplomacy anymore. It was a pity it turned out this way, I was really hoping I could get something done. But I understand it may have been my fault for not trying to reach out to more people. That might have helped my case even more.
"Brood, dont try to put this on us."
- I am not.
And about the Government (just a curious me asking this), is there so less cooperation between Governments in Iran? Because here we work things on, plan things for longer terms 'n stuff. Would be difficult if every Gov has a new plan and would just forget the last stuff 😮
unfortunetely, that is how it is in Iran. Two kind of main opposing sides. I was on the side that argued for talks and more friendship between Iran and India. The recent developments have severely weakened supporters of a strong regional alliance.
Ah well, maybe some other time.
The past has it's "implications"...the future it's promise. But only the present allows you to do the work you SHOULD be doing.
India...UNITE! CLEAR COMMON SPECIFIC GOALS!
we will attack pakistan again and again if it manages to rise.
