I have gold, but where do I buy money? (USD)
wookyjack
If you're a first time buyer of USD or are familiar with the concept, then I have a bit more helpful information to let you know about:
Have you wondered where that gold goes?
Have you ever thought the gold you sell for USD is attributed elsewhere in the government?
Well, even if you have not thought about those two things there is an answer for you anyway!
The Congressional Budget Office is an organization belonging to the government of the United States of America. The CBO is used to distribute American tax dollars as directed by the Congressional budget, to eUS government funded organizations, such as Meals on Wheels, and individual branches of the eUS armed forces. - Wiki entry
Now what does this mean when buying USD with your newly acquired gold?
Just as it stipulates in the Wiki entry about the Congressional Budget Office (aka CBO) it sends the gold you use to buy USD to the CBO, in which, that gold is used to finance the government, as well as, fund the eUS Military!
If you have ever wondered how you can help your country that does not even take more than a few seconds of your time, then buying USD from the CBO is the right way to go!
How do I buy USD from the Congresional Budget Office?
Step 1:
Go to the Market tab>Monetary Market
Step 2:
Select the tab circled in red
Step 3:
Immediately after selecting the tab an itemized country listing will show all available currencies. Select USD
Step 4:
Look for the Congressional Budget Office
Step 5:
Enter in the amount of USD you want to buy with your gold!
Viola! You have just helped your country in 5 simple steps!
Now, if for some reason the CBO is NOT listed in the Monetary Market for you to purchase USD, then it leaves it up to you to use your best judgment in where to purchase USD.
I recommend researching the person or organization first before you purchase the USD.
ex: look at the citizen/organization profile that is making the offer and see where their loyalties lie.
^ By this, I mean check their location in the eWorld, their friend's and/or any other suspicious looking things that might make you wary from purchasing the USD from them.
Known enemies of the eUSA might be trying to get our citizens to purchase USD from them and that does nothing but hurt our country!
(old skool
😃)
Known enemy countries that might be posting offers are:
Russia
Hungary
Indonesia
Brazil
Argentina
Serbia
If you notice a trend in affiliations with any of these countries, then it might be best to purchase USD from another org or citizen that is from our own turf!
🙂
Anyways, I hope this information was useful.

Useful & Informative.
Meh, the CBO floods the market with USD and keeps healthy MM activity from occuring.
Plus, 23% income tax, with most of the money going towards guns in training wars. Lamers.
Buy your USD from citizens, not the CBO.

You dork.
problem is if us government isn't the one offering the most for our gold, we will have to go elsewhere.
@ Ido47: Selling at same amount as Americans is usually how they convert currency. If they sell lower, few will even see it. What newbies need to know is that " 0.025g = 0.025g "...no matter what page it is on. U can buy from anyone, but CBO APPRECIATES it. Does help, but can't see cits 'investigating' hundreds of foreign investors.
Voted for Rocksteady and Beebop.
Mneh, this provides quick winnings for CBO, but in long term what really matters is the amount of USD on monetary market and the rate of circulation.
If everyone bought exclusively from CBO, there would be a great excess of USD on market. When companies cannot sell their USD at 0.025g/USD, they'll start offering 0.024g/USD and CBO won't sell anything - they'll have to wait until all 0.024g/USD offers are sold until they can sell more. This makes markets fluctuate and generally only gives winnings to people who make money on the monetary market.
A more reasonable plan would be to have CBO make sure there's always x thousand of USD on the market.
Somehow this reminds me of the real life situation, in which money is being printed to pay for the interests of existing loans and nobody asks a thing.

I agree with Scadens and Dubious Holdings; buying exclusively from the CBO is bad in the long run, since it only causes inflation with more USD on the market. If you need to convert gold into USD, buy from an American citizen. Buying from the CBO will help the eUS government in the short run by providing seemingly free gold since they can create USD for free, but hurts our overall economy over time.
The CBO should only be buying or selling USD to control inflation and deflation. If the value of the USD in ratio to gold goes up, the CBO needs to sell more USD. If the value of the USD in ratio to gold goes down, the CBO should BUY USD.
Of course, the people managing the CBO are probably a bunch of liberal arts majors who don't bother with such trivial details.
I also agree with Slacker Attacler that our tax money goes to a certain minority of the player population. We should be training and giving guns to our newbs, not the elite veteran players.
Well done.
Very good info. very helpful,
thanks.
Hi, I don't think it is very... 'American' of you to be so overprotective. I might even add, a bit socialistic. Planned economy, closed monetary market? Is that the policy eUS government proclaims?!? What about the 'free market', 'die commies' and so on, or was it just a 60's propaganda😉
Anyway, I've recently moved my corporation in the eUSA, so I am buying from your raw materials, providing profits and salaries for your workers and companies, paying your taxes, helping your economy with your dollars. But, if you say I am not welcome... please pm me, Russia beats your prices for oil anyway.
My cherry was popped.

good stuff but remember kids 99% of the time even if u buy gold or USD from TRUE eUS citizens/orgs the money will end up going to the gov't eventually just in a longer, more circular fashion so the CBO isn't the only answer for your money buying needs, just the most direct
TaKunCat does not approve of this message. Not just because he sells USD but because buying from CBO only messes up the market and is the source of the gap between the gold price and the currency price. Buying CBO as the last option is actually best, it lowers the cost of imported goods and services because the gold price is lowered it keeps the money in the hands of native and allied businessmen who may pass on savings to consumers. I would encourage people to buy from a foreign trader before CBO. Your comments are completly backwards.
I have written a couple articles to the contrary and I wonder where ligtreb was that he missed my comments in the CBO section of the USA forum. Incompetency is the word for it. I certainly didn't allow my self to be ignored.
To the people who agree with me I wouldn't call it inflation. I would call it inflationary pressure because it is still a self regulating system that does not change. It just stays bad so long as people act incorrectly. The profit margin on arbitrage trading stays up.
I am in Congress...who do you think I want to help?
I would think your voters
I can't change follow this, "You do not have that much currency in this sell account. Please choose a different sell account."
