ANZAC Battle Group - Organised eAustralian Patriotism
I would like to announce the formation of the ANZAC Battle Group, an armed force that is dedicated to furthering eAustralia in any way possible. We are well funded, and well organised, and all eAustralian. Based on the real life group of the same name, the ANZAC BG will be the single strongest militia in our country, and will be filled with patriots with military aspirations.
Members will be deployed all over the eWorld, fighting in global conflicts, always for the cause of eAustralia and her allies. Weapon supply will be for those that work in an ANZAC owned company, as this will be our only source of funding.

1RAR
Training division - 1RAR is the training division, offering comprehensive training for those who have not been in a military organisation before. We train in wellness techniques, battle logic, deployments, mass attacks, and all the other techniques that are crucial to working in the armed forces. You can not be landlocked to be eligible for 1RAR.
2RAR
Regulars/Landlocked - 2RAR is for those that already know their way around the battlefield, but are either landlocked or do not have the strength to qualify for 3RAR. These members make up our home defence role, and are trained regularly.
3RAR
Mobile - 3RAR is the mobile force, based on the Real Life 3RAR which is a parachute infantry battalion. They will be sent to all major theatres of the global conflict between EDEN and Phoenix. Strength/damage requirement is yet to be determined - applicants will be automatically placed in the appropriate battalion.
4RAR
Special Forces - 4RAR is the special forces battalion, receiving higher quality weapons and having strict entry requirements. These troops will be used for tanking operations, and covert deployments.

bass shouldnt the anzacs be a joint force from both new zealand and australia if eNZ is added surely ull expand to include that and i think ppl will be confused by the name into thinking its not private

The ANZAC name should not be used untill eNZ is created. A solely eAus ANZAC force goes against the whole ANZAC tradition.

@Crusadercarl - I don't really get your logic there, New Zealand doesn't exist yet so we aren't really going against them, nor are we not cooperating with them. The amount of RL New Zealanders in eAustralia indicates to me that the ANZAC spirit still lives in eAustralia.
Well I find the whole concept of toy soldiers using the name of our legends to be offensive and misleading since this is a militia and not sanctioned by the ADF.
Larni, we're showing respect to the real ANZACs. Do you find Seal Team 6 offensive to Americans?
The name ANZAC Battle Group does not imply it is an official military organisation, and I'm sorry that you feel it does.
The eADF has exactly the same rights to real military names as any Joe Blow in eRep (none).

It is illegal, for an person/group to use the term ANZAC, in any game, unless the Minister for Veterans' Affairs approves its use.

BTW, the Minister does not seem to want to approve using the word when associated with games. (As attempted to get approval when I was part of a group in Star Trek Online - answer was NO).

At least it is being used for something near what it stands for. The RL media use it freely just to sell papers and boost ratings and no one complains.
As long as Bass and his group are respectful in the way they use it then bugger DVA, they are just another organisation overloaded with beaurocrats.

I would change the name in response to a Cease and Desist letter, however I feel that this is not in violation of the rules that are set out on that web page.
Also, this game is not hosted in Australia, nor is any documentation regarding the ANZAC Battle Group, so those laws do not apply. The laws are good as they allow a method of prosecuting those attempting to profit from the name of the ANZACs, and I don't believe there would be any reason to go after us. 🙂

Just because there are a few people in the government and/or military that you don't get along with doesn't mean you can bag the rest of us out.
Maybe when TCD's get a Field Marshall we can talk about military power.
Considering that the anagram is used correctly here and on the DVA website, I think Minister Griffin needs to fix the problem before he can do anything about it anyway 🙂
