[DoPR] - Cabinet Report - 19th of April, 2010.

Day 880, 21:01 Published in Australia Australia by eAus Department of Information
From The Prime Minister’s Desk GFC | Dept. of Public Relations | Dept. of Industrial Relations | Dept. of Finance | Dept. of Defence | Dept. of Foreign Affairs | Sec. of Immigration & Security | Sec. of Child Welfare & Tourism | Sec. of Education | Sec. of Health

Before reading, I would like to point out now that there have been some changes to Departments, including replacements for Ministers that have recently resigned.

There is no cause for alarm as:
A) Ministers resigning is to due real life issues, nothing more and;
😎 Those replacing Ministers have proven their activity in the past and have definitely picked up from where their predecessors have left off.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, please enjoy this wall of text!

From The Prime Minister’s Desk

My Fellow Australians,

Discussions are occurring over the WA issue and the best way to deal with it and get it back. These discussions include talks with EDEN as well as just between the Cabinet. The discussions don't focus one if we can get WA back, more when, and that currently is the sad part, its not looking good for us.

PTOer from eIndonesia seem to be gaining strength and as we all know the eIndos are well known for multis so we need to keep an eye out for those as we approach the Senate elections. eIndo PTOers in our Senate WILL destroy Australia completely. We need to ensure that Multis are banned quickly, that eIndos are not voted in. True Australian Voters are urged to liaise with their party, if you aren't on the Australian Forums, then you should register at: eAustralian Forums so that you can see what’s going on and keep up to date.

The eRomanian MPP is currently being signed as I write this so that should be up and running soon. That will mean more war games, however at the present moment I'm sure most eAustralian's would prefer WA over war games and their are certainly enough wars going on at the moment that will allow you to fight pretty much anywhere in the world you like if your prepared to move once or twice to get into them. If you aren't sure where you can go then feel free to contact the Department of Defence Minister and Deputy Minister.

Intern Positions
With some of the Senior members of Cabinet having to resign for various reasons I've decided to open up options for people that may want to enter Cabinet as Interns with the departments. If you’re interested, contact the Ministers of the respective Departments. You will find the Department heads here:
April Cabinet

Speaker and Deputy Speaker Access
As the Speaker and Deputy Speakers will be aware by now, I've also taken the unprecedented step of granting them access to the Cabinet Room forum and access to the IRC Cabinet Room so that they can see and participate in what’s going on within the Cabinet and alleviate any issues that the Senate may have. This is being done due to 1. The great work and trust between the Cabinet and Senate over the last term, and
2. because it helps the rest of the Senate understand that their is somebody on their side inside the Cabinet ring that has been closed to the Senate for so long.

I hope that this will bring about a greater amount of trust between my Cabinet and the Senate throughout my time as the Prime Minister of our Great Nation.

Regards
Xavier Griffith
Prime Minister of eAustralia

Dept. of Public Relations

Deputy Minister Kyle Thornton should be returning from his holidays and will assume the role of getting together the Senate Report for Minister Dartreal once more. BIG thanks goes out to Viado Celtru for looking after Kyle's duties while he was away.

The first Q&A With The PM when well but we're looking for more questions when a second Q&A is run at a future date. It will be done in approximately one week from now so citizens of eAustralia – so start thinking about your questions!

The Department of Public Relations is also looking at the possibility of running advertisements in the newspaper. Citizens will be given the opportunity to promote something (their company, their products, their newspapers etc) through the DoPR's Newspaper. Planning is still going into this as the price to charge people for advertising still being questioned. All money spend on advertising will be donated to the government.

Dept. of Industrial Relations

Now the skill 0 jobs have started flowing again, sir_c0nstant is looking to work on the efficiency of the gift and diamond GFC's. Everyone has been fired from DoD Iron (again), and it will be used solely for Skill 0 newbies if there is a shortage of skill 0 jobs on the market.

The Q5 Hospital Company has been hit hard in terms of employees, with only 6 full time workers now productivity is well down. If you are a construction worker please click here to work for this great cause! sir_c0nstant has an idea to generate more productivity from the Q5 Hospital company by having people park their citizens in the company if they are going to take a break away from the game or holiday. This is to see if the productivity and efficiency gets increased if more workers are present. To attract more workers to the Q5 Hospital, it is now a part the Work for Gifts program. Binda33, Deputy Minister of Industry Relations, is looking to entice some Dropbears to work there with this recent change.

The Q1 House GFC is booming and the problem is getting rid of the houses. Looking for a house to buy? Buy one off our housing GFC to help fund a war to get WA back from eIndonesia! As fast as sir_c0nstant has been firing, people keep joining as the construction wages after Q2 are very attractive.

The Q3 Weapons GFC is in eIndonesia, (as it was in WA), has a small kitty of IDR and is attracting Q2 workers paying low wages, so eAustralia is still making weapons without breaking the bank.

The Department of Industrial Relations would like to point out that the following company, CASH HOUSE, is currently “killing new players”. They are a Q5 company hiring our babies at inflated wages – for skill levels 0 – 1 - in order to kill them by reducing their wellness severely. If you know anyone working for this company please get them out as soon as possible before the damage is done.

Dept. of Finance

In the first week we had large expenditures for the war effort, most notably the epic battle for WA. It’s very disappointing to see Admins take the win away from us after all the resources we all spent – both us and our allies.

The loss of Western Australia is effecting us severely. WA was a valuable state in terms of companies, especially in the lucrative diamond industry. This has hit us in terms of lower taxes but also in term of lower export dollars which is making it harder to buy gold. Nonethless, we are working very hard to rebuild our financial reserves as quickly as possible so eAustralia will be back on its feet in no time.

Dept. of Defence

The past week has been a week of victories but also disappointment. After the Admins' ludicrous decision on the Western Australia battle, we were forced to say good bye to a region that is rightfully ours and that we will reclaim at some point – something the Department of Defence promises.

However, after that 'defeat' ourselves and our brilliant allies have bounced back to see Gauteng and Mpumlanga returned to eSouth Africa as well as put the eTurks in their place by knocking them out of eIsrael! On top of this Saxony, an important region for eSpain, was successfully defended against a Phoenix attack at the same time eFinland was being liberated by its allies. The military supremacy and unity of the Bros/EDEN is becoming clearer than ever.

On an impressive note for ourselves to be proud of, eAustralia was able to put 547,000 damage up in WA, which is more than eBrazil achieved with a far larger population. So pat yourselves on the backs.

Also, with the signing of the eRomanian MPP we shall soon have a constant supply of war to train up on and rank up on. So enjoy that!

The Department of Defence is working on getting the mobile troops more active. They’re also working on getting out weapons and MTs to soldiers the Department knows will use them. Any soldiers that have been signing into IRC or PM-ing the ADD orgs / military unit leaders have been getting supplies. Not only does this see resources handed to the right soldiers, but it also shows the Military units which soldiers are willing to put in an offer to become an active member of their deploying squads.

Dept. of Foreign Affairs.

Unfortunately due to real life problems, including fighting off a very nasty chest infection, Brenflakes has decided to step down from his position as Minister of Foreign Affairs. We would like to thank Brenflakes for all of his hard work as Minister of Foreign Affairs and the outstanding job he done as Deputy Prime Minister in the previous term.

DARK VORODOR is now the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. dante623 has been appointed as his new Deputy Minister. We wish both the best of luck in their new roles.

As mentioned earlier, the eRomanian MPP has been finalised after discussions late Friday night. This MPP will see wargames brought back to eAustralia which should make a lot of people happy. This will also make it easier for eRomania to help defend us should those sneaky eIndonesians decide to attack us again.

We’ve recently renewed our MPPs with our good friends eCroatia and ePoland. It’s good to know that they’ve been here for us when we’ve needed them the most. We look forward to our long lasting friendship with both countries.

Sec. of Immigration & Security

The following is a list of new eAustralian Citizens who have been accepted into the country. eAustralia welcomes the following people to eAustralia:

Antecesor
amusement
ChristopherGOD
LoveMaker
smellycat
Tullus Hostilius

Aussie Bloke, the Sec. of Immigration & Security, would once again like to remind all Senators the following: Please remember to only accept citizens that have been listed by the Secretary of Immigration and Security. You can find the list here: http://community.auserepublik.com/index.php?topic=6090.0.

Anyone who does not follow the list and grants someone who isn't on that list citizenship to eAustralia will face the punishment of being removed from the Senate Forums. You have been warned!

Sec. of Child Welfare and Tourism

Firstly we would like to announce that due to real life problems Adam Creedy, the Minister of Health & Education (the Department that oversees the Secretaries of Health, Education and Child Welfare & Tourism), has resigned. We would like to thank Adam Creedy for his work this term. Listhp Tomptos will be assuming the role of Minister of this department.

Agentgreeny, Secretary of Child Welfare & Tourism, has been working on some plans to attract more high skill workers to eAustralia. Early plans hint towards paying these people a minimum wage and then paying the rest of their wages in gold instead of in AUD. More planning is still being done and nothing is concrete at this time.

The promotion of eAustralia and eRepublik continues with both Agentgreeny and Noodle70 looking into putting their money (RL money not eRepublik currency) into Facebook advertisements. In the past Agentrgeeny found the adverts were working so more will be put up. The ads are currently in their final draft and should be launched soon.

The following is a graph to show how many new members have joined eAustralia since the start of Xavier Griffith’s term as Prime Minister. The number of new citizens appears to be rising at a steady pace though with Western Australia now under foreign occupation, this could affect the amount of new people we get joining our country. The graph is pretty self-explanatory so check it out.

Sec. of Education

Astintus is currently working on creating some newspaper articles to increase awareness among new players and experienced players on low wages about ways to keep their wellness up. There’s working being done into finding a way to create some quality educational quizzes for newer players. Going into finalisation is the Business Syllabus for the eAus Uni. This will be set up in the near future for the first term. This will be an excellent opportunity for those unfamiliar with businesses to get to know how to run an organisation.

Sec. of Health

Yet another replacement within the Cabinet has been seen with Secretary of Health jinpachi being replaced by Chris Carnage. Shortly after coming back to the game, jinpachi has quit due to real life issues.

Chris Carnage, along with Listhp Tomptos, are currently working on a draft plan for a National Health System. Some of the problems faced are what to do when gifts are gone and how to keep the wellness up of people in Q5 companies. This is a still a work in progress so we hope to have more information in the following week.

That’s all from the Cabinet this week. Thank you for reading this massive wall of text. Please subscribe to this newspaper for future updates on the eAustralian Government.
