Western Australia - The Fallout from the decision

Day 876, 01:38 Published in Australia Croatia by CrowdedHouse

Good evening eAustralia.

The article this evening will post the decision from admins about the Western Australia battle and talk about some of the re-action from around the eRepublik world.

Before we begin I remind anyone that attempts to report this article (and there are number of citizens working to do such a thing) and moderators of eRepublik Law number 3.

3. Freedom of press is absolute

This article does not violate any section of the eRepublik Law.

---> The Decision from Admin about Western Australia

The following statement from admin was released HERE

To comment on the statement, go to the eRepublik Forums, click on community, then forum. Your message or signature of support should be in the Message to Administration section of the forum.

> The eAustralia and Allies Reaction

It's safe to say the Americans and South Africans were first to hear of the admin decision. The USA Military seem to be the most angry, after it was acknowledge by admin there was a problem, byt the result would not be changed.

The general anger in the Australian community seems to be not just that WA was not returned, but the actual headline itself of "It ain't over til the fat lady sings" - That headline and the article's comments which virtually said you won, but you didn't have left players asking why should they continue playing the game.

One player, Hillbilly Jim (a congressman) said he has had enough and will leave the game at the end of the term, while in comments Brenflakes acknowledge he was thinking the same thing.

Players such as Bass Junkie and Calbe have been screaming for a refund in their post of the eRepublik Forums.

CrowdedHouse (Me!) has already sent a new ticket to admins pointing out eRepublik Law 6.1 which stats that one cannot benefit from a system exploit (bug). In the statement admin acknowledge an exploit, which CrowdedHouse has pointed out was exploited by Indonesia (claiming WA) therefore violating Rule 6.1 - we await the outcome.

----> Phoenix Reaction

The Phoneix reaction to the news seems to be split. Though the low level soldiers of Phoenix and the nation of Indonesia are in join over retaining Western Australia, higher level players of Phoenix from Pakistan, UK and Russia have expressed concern over the decision.

Their problem with the admin's statement is it creates a "grey area" on when a battle is one. Plus the fact that admin admitted fault but would not change the result, worries them that they could be on the reverse end of it in the future. As one Phoenix field marshall hinted, "how can they plan a battle properly when they don't know when and how it's supposed to end".

> Indonesia attempt PTO on Australian Parties

With a number of the Australian population (newbies) stuck in Western Australia, Indonesia are taking the chance to PTO some of the Australian Parties.

Already MissShe (who has received donation from the previous Indonesian President) and other PTO senators have started granting a number of Indonesians Australian Citizenship.

Once such person is the Former Indonesian President Wonder Howard/Forward - You may remember an article where I pointed out that he said to Cerri (then Aussie PM) if Australia did not sign the NAP, he would invade.

He's currently running for Party President of The Greens - all Australians MUST be on the look-out for any suspicious behaviour.

> Allies to the rescue?

South Africa has just started the process of declaring WAR on Brazil. A successful battle against Brazil could see a front open against Indonesia at Western Australia.

The eWorld watches now to see what the USA will do. The American Army is angry over the admin decision and angry with Indonesia's gloating. If they finally decided to attack Indonesian home soil, things could get interesting.

Thanks for reading, and if your an Aussie trapped in WA, get in contact with me.
