Visayas and Palawan Returned | Presidential Elections Near

Day 860, 21:56 Published in Philippines USA by Hekter
Visayas Returned
Thanks to the eUnited States Secretary of Defense (and my beautiful eFiance), Angelini, the Visayas RW was successful. We are currently entering negotiations for a hospital, most probably from Canada or Sweden. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as it looks to try and find supportive loaners to reduce the cost on our poor economy. As far as I am aware, Congress has approved placing the hospital in Visayas rather than Palawan, since it borders no non-original regions.

Palawan Returned
Our economy is back! Rejoice and be merry! We have started up the Sol Games again, much to the happiness of all participants. Well, those with hospitals anyway. I strongly recommend against participating on this side of the battlefield, since it means a very long and arduous recovery period.

Presidential Elections--The UNITY Route
On the suggestion of several local leaders (Revilo_X, EZEX Lacroa, CruelBear, and others whose names I am most certainly forgetting), I have decided to throw my hat into the UNITY CP Candidate Pool, which should be choosing its candidate relatively shortly.

But Hekter, you've already served a term and a half!
I wouldn't be here if my country didn't need me, and I've been working under CruelBear to establish better international relationships with the US and EDEN leaders to protect us from Indonesia. I've also been in contact with the Indo MoFA, to keep both sides' dialogue running at the very least, so it's not like I've been doing absolutely nothing this entire period.

Okay, so you may be running--what are your plans?
Basically, it all comes down to the following:

1. Advertisement. We cannot continue to have a stable country, or even a mildly stable one, without any population. A great concept concerning this was brought up by Jootli and Ariel David Buena, and that is trying to get write-in articles to newspapers printed in the Philippines. It would hopefully attract older players, and it's pretty much free!

2. Integration of Tagalog. I've tried to get this implemented in Keegan and Cruel's Presidencies, with overall little success. I hope to finally succeed in getting bilingual articles as a regular feature in the Media. I've seen firsthand that articles in Tagalog get more votes and more overall support--heck, the KMP pretty much conducts their business in it, and they're the dominant party when we're not all under UNITY. I've also chosen a RL Filipino Vice-President to try to get the eFilipino government back into hands of Filipinos when possible.

3. Economic Control. While we work on getting our population up, I suggest that the government begin expanding economic control into getting company owners on the government payroll, and encouraging buyers to buy only Philippines-Made goods, to keep PHP within the market. Before the landswaps I was doing a study on active ePh companies, and I would like to see more come under a program of stability instead of spiraling into debt. The government can provide PHP for companies and workers, so that we never run out of the capability to purchase weapons, food, gifts, etc. Of course if the population increases this will be harder to maintain, and the policy should be looked over more closely if that happens. This will be more explained and fleshed out as we get our regions back and companies spring back into operation. Quasi-Socialism for the win?

4. Foreign cooperation. We have continued to help China attempt to free its resource-laden regions, and will continue to do so under my administration. Sol Wargames will continue to the best of our ability, and I hope we can reach peace with Indonesia.

5. Crazy hours! I've been dedicated towards this game for many months (About to celebrate my eBirthday in another month or so here), and I am able to keep all sorts of hours required for landswaps and coordination with players all around the world.

Who will be your Vice-President?
I have asked Mr. Jootli to be my Vice-President, as he is very active on IRC and highly receptive to learning the ropes 🙂 As an added bonus, he speaks English almost better than I do, and speaks just as well (or better) in Tagalog. (How am I to know?)

Care to list a brief resumé?
President of the Philippines (x1.5)
Chairman of Sol
eFilipino Congressman (x4)
Minister of Foreign Affairs (x2)

Do you meet all of BisRock's requirements?
Yes. The saddest part is that number 8 is ridiculously true. During my last terms, I continually canceled plans on the account of having to be home at that time to start the Training War.

Will The Stapler return?
Dang right it will! It misses you all.

Military Win
Anarchist wants you to know about the Military!

Thanks for reading, everyone, and I hope to serve as your next President! Again!

Sincerely,
Hekter
