Astintus For NSW Senate

Day 852, 21:12 Published in Australia Australia by Astintus

Hi eGirls and eGuys

Well its that time again - Election time that is for the Senate

I have been pleased to run for the Senate twice before and would like the chance to run again and continuing working hard for the betterment of our eNation and our Allies.

In this senate we have seen some massive upheavals as the previous Cabinet and the present (to a lesser extent 😛) have railed against the Senate regulations. I'm proud to say i have been lifted into a Deputy Minister position based in the Ministry of Industry under the Minister Adam Creedy.

I like to think that between Adam and myself, we have made a positive impact on our Government Funded Companies and reduced our overall Budget by approx 5-8k. We are also keeping daily statistics to ensure the next Cabinet and its budget will have firm numbers to work off for the next Budget. It's this kind of Teamwork that enables us to lift eAustralia out of the political dramas.

I have also been nominated and voted in as the Australian Business Association Chairman and have the job of banding together our local producers and suppliers to ensure the survivability of the eAustralian Business Community. With my elevation as the dMoI, my goal of having the ABA as a pool of talent to be tapped for roles within the future cabinets has started on what i hope is a long long long way of life.

I based my previous campaign on the below structure and i like to think we have made some good inroads into the problems we have.

1) The Military - This is a major part of this game regardless of everything else. We built a Military Control Structure around the framework we were given by eRepublik and we will have more work to come when V2 gets here (Whenever that happens). We have had a major reshuffle and the effects are still being felt as little moves are happening. We have to make sure we support these guys and get involved to ensure when the time comes they are prepared to do what it takes to protect this eCountry and eCitizens.
- I'm happy to report that it looks like the teething problems of the reshuffle have worked out and we are seeing a dedicated Army forming strong ties and deploying well. I have also had the pleasure of being promoted to Squad CO for Hotel Squad in the AAR. We have seen the enlargement of the AAR to encompass 90 members and holding steady.

2) Money - A big issue at the moment is surrounding our budget and the spending for our monthly bills to ensure our departments are running smoothly. There is a need for a considerable reworking of the Taxes and how we operate within the international community. To this end i believe a get together of not only the MoF and his team is required but also some of the untapped potential of some of our most active business savvy eCitizens such as Wally Wilson, Infin, Venja, John Sykes and so on. These eCitizens have had great ideas on how to change our economy and i think we need to have summit for the eCountry common good not our own parties.
- Whilst the Summit has not been able to be arranged, we have seen a reduction of our Budget across the board even with our ongoing deployments and war. This was due to our great MoF WW and Venja with help from higher ups of the Cabinet. In my own Department of Industry, the Minister and myself have been able to reduce our departmental budget by 5k AUD and hopefully at the end of the Cabinet Term we hope to have a nice balance to ensure the future Cabinets are better off.

3) Immigration - We have seen an influx of people applying for citizenship's especially from our major allies in EDEN including our MoICS. I understand it is a highly involved and time consuming task but it doesn't appear to have progressed much from the last couple of months. I believe the current minister and deputy are doing a great job and therfore believe we need to expand that department to help facilitate the inflow of valued workers and make sure the undesirables are refused entry.
- Now this is a big one. As we have seen it is too easy for Channers and Pto'ers to gain entry to a country like South Africa and cause a lot of hassle and problems. From this example our MoICS, The Great and Honorable LEWS, has been steadfast along with his Deputy in holding the Wall. Their tireless dedication and hard work has ensured that we only let in who we believe will be a benefit to eAustralia. Along with some other tireless workers (Dartreal among others) they have also been scanning the newly born citizens to make sure any suspicious are reported to the Admins. Last thing we as a eCountry want is to get PTO'ed.

4) Citizen Education - This particular area is my ePiC's (ePartner-in-Crime) Blue Rayne personal area of interest and one that i support whole heartily. The ongoing recruitment and education of our citizens must go hand in hand with our drive and encouragement to experience the game and the great community of people that go with it.
- Between Blue Rayne and Dartreal departments (MoE and MoB😎 there has been a great boom in population. Dartreal has been working over time with his Comic's and Cabinet posting to see an increase of over 900ish new citizens who have made it pass lvl 3. I like to think they stay around for the Fish and Salads (which i hear is good this week 😛) but i know without the hard work of the two Departments we would not be gaining and keeping the new citizens. Keep up the good work people 🙂

5) Accountability - I have noticed in the last few weeks the increase of Senators and other eCitizens asking how, when, and why on the various departments spend their allocated budgets. To this extent i am planning on drafting a proposal of a Department which would monitor our various Offices, Departments and Organizations for the purpose of providing a clear and concise view on how the eGovernment is working and spending the money. This would encompass the relevant organizations and departments to ensure their continued operation as opposed to when i first started playing the game and my inability to contact anyone in regards to joining the Senate School and Boot Camp. When i finally got a response back from the old Boot Camp organizers i was already lvl 17 and had been part of the AAR for over a month. So more to come on this later 🙂
- Now i have to admit personally i haven't been able to finish drafting this piece of legislation and as the current feeling is that we need less and less of legislation and more of Action within the rules I will have to see where this will fit in.

Now i have completely bored you i leave you with one message:

I have been an active member and citizen of the Australian Military party for the last 2 months, The AAR for the last 3 months and the current serving dMoI in this Cabinet. I wish nothing but to serve my eCountry in whatever it desires of me and i hope i can make an impact for the betterment of this great eCountry.
