Dear Citizens,
New President administration pages
In a few days the new President's country administration pages will be live. New features will be:
- New design for budget administration, taxes administration, new Citizens fee;
- The President can't submit to Congress more than 2 laws per day;
- Trade agreements: will allow countries sign bilateral agreements deciding a custom import tax value for their companies;
- Mutual Protection Pacts: let's explain how it works using an example. Country A has a Mutual Protection Pact with country B. If country C attacks country B then automatically country C is at war with country A. If countries A and C had a Mutual Protection Pact than this is no longer valid as the A-B Pact has priority (mutual defence takes precedence). Entering a war because of a Mutual Protection Pact will have no Gold costs.
- Presidents can sign Mutual Protection Pacts and Trade agreements without submitting them to Congress vote. Only the acceptance of both country Presidents will be required.

Extra invitations
Yesterday we gave 5 extra invitations to the Citizens who had run out and sent 1000 more invitations to the people in the Erepublik waiting list.

How often is the war fee paid? Once for each region, once for each country?
Also, the gold requirements seem harsh on large countries. Shouldn\'t the president be able to choose how many soldiers to send to war and pay the according price?

Plus, with the bilateral trade deal, will you be able to set it per industry as well as per country? or will the rate apply to all industries?
Agree with Koroush (take a screenshot): Non-Agression Pact should also be possible. That would increase your cost of declaring war basically unless it is first annulled.

Still no invites... I had 2, never used them, then they got taken away because of elections (fair enough) but never returned!!!??
How are Mutual protection pacts removed? Do both presidents have to agree?

After the above scenario, after the Mutual Protection Pact is taken out of the picture for countries A and C... are they still at war? Or is just the protection pact null and void?
And what does the fight for freedom module do? (see my thread on the forums please).
The invites are not working.
I asked some friends if they have, and they say no but I got 2 invites.

... that\'s...fairly insane. Sweden has 2,700 soldiers. Does that mean it\'s going to cost them 2,800 GOLD to declare war on one country?

No Danish citizen has recieved a single invite since before the elections on the 1st of March.

...I never said I wanted to go to war. I was saying that the price for declaration is a tad high, especially considering that most soldiers are most likely inactive. I\'m an American, not a double Swede.
My country treasury can only afford for one war for all the lifetime. Too bad >.
To be fair Platonic, countries that size can more then easily get that much. With 5 gold per invite, its not difficult.
To be realistic, Falcon, countries that size can take out Moldova out in one tiny flick of their middle finger. 2800 gold is a bit high when considering the amount of wars Sweden has the potential to wage.
Does a trading tax from the trade agreement will be the new import tax set for that specific country, or it will add up (or decrease) the current import tax?
Other ways a country can proclaim war without so much gold needed are by starting as a small/moderate country first, then proclaim war, then grow their population exponentially.
Another is by using a small country with the Mutual Protection Pact, so when the small country proclaim war, it automatically set the larger allied country goes to war.
Nice progress, but I would agree with \"your name here\" that the president should be able to select how many soldiers to depoly and then pay accordingly.

I agree with Korbin King, you shouldnt have to pay for soldiers that arent going to be involved in battle. And Admins, have you considered the loopholes isnuwardana mentioned.
No invitations left. And unfortunately, the two that the game gave me at the beginning were sent to the same person by mistake 🙁
Sounds like sweden is a war monger to me.
Does somebody here knows when the war module will be integrated?
I really want to know too, when the war module can be established...?
