Headlines from Mindanao:

Mindanao Civil War Ends!

After two days of bitter war between the Royalist and the Revolutionaries, the civil war has now been officially ended at the fall of Butuan City at 5:22 pm (local time) in which the Government-backed Royalist Troops surrendered the city to the Rebels.

The Royalist Troops surrendered Butuan and declared it as an open city.

The Royalist were very reluctant in surrendering the city but after the news of the Peace Talks Success and the Government Retreat from the Civil War (see the Coup d’ etat in Fort Bagong Pag-Asa! Peacetalks Starts!) the hopes of the defending the city vanished.

Even after Royal Coup d’ etat (which resulted in the abdication of Prince Terrence II to the self-declared Heir to the Sultanate, Ariel David Buena,) the Sultanate’s Influence over the Central Politics in the Capital suddenly subside.

Peace Talks Successful! ARPM Declared!

But the real reason of surrendering is the lack of Government’s Support. The Right of Passage Agreement is the main reason of reluctance in the side of the Government.

In the said Agreement, the Military of the Philippines can freely move back and forth along the Pathway of the Philippines and Malaysia at the cost of giving the Region of Mindanao an Autonomy. The Region of Mindanao is now known as the Autonomous Region of the People’s Mindanao.

After the Signing of the Treaty

The Autonomous Region of The People's Mindanao, is now a semi-independent mid-republic inside the Philippines' own Sphere of Influence.

But in reality, there is one question remaining, “Will the Region of Mindanao retain its former Glory?”

But the truth is that The 200 year old Sultanate of Mindanao is now over.
Saying a Goodbye here in Mindanao.
