Okay, this will be another short article! Furthermore, I am absolutely positively sure that no silly proposals will occur anymore, I hope I am right!
I also ask everyone to forgive and forget what has happened and let us all move on... Thus, here are the updates on eBelgium.
* First of, now former MoD of eBelgium, ThomasRed has been officially removed by Congress. With 8 YES, 7 NO, 1 Abstain, and 0 Neutral, the proposal was passed at exactly 16:00 Day 812, eRepublik.
* The Committee of Neutrality is now open. Please message me in-game if you wish to join the Committee. However, the Committee's framework, guidelines for Committee members will be published this coming Saturday.
* The Constitutional discussions for eBelgium is doing quite well.
* Jarhead, EDEN Congress Member has resigned from his post due to real-life and personal issues. Let us all pray him well and good health and hope that he will come back soon.
* Shadowukcs has officially announced in his forum post that EDEN will forcefully take over eBelgium within the next month. This however, is not an official statement by EDEN superiors so whether it is only a threat from our dear brother shadow or the real deal is unknown. Rest assured, we shall take our forks and spoons and ladles and fight with all our heart, if it does happen. But, first, let's pray it doesn't. XD
* The FBC food bank is running out of food. Expect the usual Q3s to be lowered to Q2s. Food donations would be very helpful, if you cannot do it yourself, send them to me and I will distribute them for you.
* And last but not the least, I would like to thank some few people such as Hegemony, Hungarian Ambassador, for his donation of a q1 ticket for those that needed it and by distributing food to the new players. My friend Androx, ePoland's troll in eBelgium's IRC, for his donations to the food program and for being the coolest Polish Ive ever met. And Mr. Cody Franklin, eAmerican Ambassador, for his awesome stance and friendship towards eBelgium. You are an awesome man!
That is it for today in eBelgium. Also, I apologize for my sarcastic and facetious remarks in the eUSA forums... I was simply conveying a point.
But nonetheless, my friends in eBelgium and in the eBelgian Congress. Let us continue working together for the future of this nation! Vive La Belgique!

What does RL personal issues have to do with him leaving the country and moving to Spain...can someone explain that...but yet hours before he left he proposed another of those silly laws 😒

the thing is not that i do not trust his personal issues or not!!!
the real question is why did he left the country???what this has to do with the passing away of his relative???...he could have remained as a congressman and no one would have judged his absence from discussion or voting...and how come before he left he proposed another law???

Your points are indeed reasonable Ivan. He sent me a message though that the actions of the Congress persons that proposed those laws were because they were giving up? I think, that their Polish group all in all is seceding from our country affairs and that he was getting tired of politics.
Quite irresponsible, but they're gone and won't come back and most of them except jarhead will no longer be a friend of eBelgium.
and lets leave all the things about his personal issues...i personally disagree with his vote being counted because he left the country thus he was no longer congressman before the voting ended...so we get to a deuce situation with 7:7 the score...and taking into consideration that the two remaining votes are the ones of Hugo Lily and Jonnymkd i personally think this proposal should not be passed

If they do not support the passing of the law, then I may have to adhere to the deuce, but I think his vote is legitimate for I have proposed that law like game mechanics, and with game mechanics, you can vote and resign and your vote would still count.
yes they are gone but we still count their votes thus making Belgium's future a hostage of some persons who didn't even have the dignity to respond why are they doing this 😒

so we will stick blindly to the game mechanics and therefore guide Belgium to dead end...this is absurd for me and i believe it is absurd for the majority of the Belgian population...ask them do they agree and let their country being guided by persons who are irresponsible and act childish
i believe we are here to work for the good and benefit of the citizens and not stick to some game mechanics

How someone chooses to react when dealing with a RL issue is their concern. This is just a game. Get over it.
The vote passed. Trying to say that people who did not vote would have voted your way does not change the vote, and actually raises the question of why they did not vote. Using your rhetoric, perhaps they do not care for the future of Belgium and its citizens.
