Hello to everyone!
I have a question - is there a big difference between Portuguese & Brazilian Portuguese.
You see we have a small discussion in wiki about it, but we would like to hear your opinion also. http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/eRepublik:Bar#Portuguese_.26_Brazilian_Portuguese
Thank you for your answers,

Not a big diference, just accent and some words, show di bola 😃
Not much of a difference, but it's quite annoying for portuguese reading brasilian things and (i supose) the same can be said of the brasilians who have to read Portugal's portugese. Some things just don't feet very well in the other's accent.
I don't think there's any problem!... Let's implement the speeling agreement and grow our wiki! Knowledge is the most important and so we get a great repository of it for both countries that speak Portuguese!
i'm portuguese and i got to say, i like the brazilian people but i just hate the writing in brazilian portuguese and there are differences, not just in accent but in the meaning of some phrases
i personaly disagree with the new spelling agreement made between portuguese speaking countries
the portuguese brazilian is one thing the portuguese from portugal is another in my understanding.
For me, as Portuguese, it is very strange to read brazilian portuguese, i think it is quite diferent one from another, not just the way the words are written but also the construction of sentences, and not allways is easy for me to read. Actually, in school, when an english book only has translation to brazilian portuguese, i usually prefer the english version, because it is annoying for me to read in brazilian.
This said, i've nothing against brazilian people, it is just dificult to me read thing the way they write.
I don´t like brasilian portuguese.... but there are not so many diferences, they are very similar....
Como o Chiolas disse: PIMBOLIM É MATRAQUILHO.... e eu acrescento BANCO é CAIXA
It doesn't make any sense. Portuguese is a language, Brazilian Portuguese is a dialect like many others..they tried the very same thing in Wikipedia and the answer was No, obviously, apparently here they succeeded in creating a new language.
I think that should be kept in both languages on the wiki
About the game, two versions were planned (led by Cavalcanti and Raikael).
Only when the translations were almost completed we knew it was only one.
I'm used to read in both BP and PP, so for me it sould be kept only one language, it could be Brazillian Portuguese, as there are more eBrazillian readers. If you decide to create two versions, you have to make it also for british english, american english, catalan, basque, gallician, serbian, etc. There's no point leave it as it is.
like someone said portuguese is a language, portuguese of brazil es a dialect so no,Brazillian portuguese shouldn't even be considered a language
what's going to happen next?african portuguese dialects become languages? ffs
This are 2 different languages. No question about it. I would rather read it in English than in Brazil Portuguese...
