What is the PSA?

Day 773, 22:23 Published in South Africa South Africa by Zagarius

As the Ministry of Information announced on G😨 770, Proudly South African, IS BACK! This article gave a general understanding to the PSA and its functions for eSA. This program is private program and not run by the eSA government. See discussion on the PSA in the eSA country forum by clicking here.

In this article and in subsequent articles I will continue to answer questions and releive any worries over the PSA's attempt at an economic power-grab.

A little on PSA, to cut through the confusion and worries.....

What PSA does:

- We locate eSA Owned & Operated companies.
- We promote eSA Owned & Operated companies.
- We increase tax reserves by purchasing domestic products
- We promote job security thru the above.
- We promote more efficient companies, as they need workers to fill their orders.
- We promote every product that is available here in eRepublik and will change when the ADMINs make their next update to the marketplace.
- We will promote and keep a WIKI page updated and fully list participating companies.

What PSA does NOT:
- We Do NOT fixing wages (we rely on Free Market)
- We Do NOT fix taxes on any product (this is the decision of Congress)
- We Do NOT show favorites to any company.
- We Do NOT take requests or anything that will undermine this program.

I hope this lays your fears to rest... I am a very non-partial person, I hope you trust me to keep PSA this way.

Now to answer some questions that came up since the MoI article:

Do you need to pay for each ORG and Company?
- NO, if you have an ORG, one payment of 10 ZAR will cover them all. If you only own a company then that is all you register. Understand the difference?

What if companies that are PSA members undercut other eSA companies by undercutting them by selling at such cheap prices, what will PSA do to these member companies?
- PSA is in the stage of writing Rules or Bylaws if you will for just this reason. The PSA is about FAIR TRADE and not about cutthroat business dealings. (I will go into this subject a little later.)

How soon will this program begin?
- As 15 various companies and ORGs have signed up, they undergoing background checks to verify their eSA status, say by GD 775. Follow this link to the google form to add your company to the PSA list.

RULES

1. PSA is strictly for eSA citizens and companies ONLY! If you change your citizenship, your company will be delisted from the PSA approved list. (Which will be posted once a week in this paper or MoI paper). ORGs can move, but companies cannot so ORG placement is not mandatory in eSA, only the company! No foreign based companies are eligible, companies must reside inside eSA borders.

2. PSA is stricly against any PRICE FIXING or PRICE GOUGING. After 2 offenses in 2 months (60 days) and the offending company will be Temp-Banned from PSA for 90 Days. Any offense within 45 days after reinstatement and the offending company will be Perm-Banned.

3. PSA is against Unethical Hiring Practices, if a PSA hires at say 50ZAR and then reduces pay to 10ZAR we will give 3 warnings before the offending company is Perma-Banned from PSA. (side-note: PSA is pondering being used as an arbitrator between workers and companies to help both come to an equitable solution. We understand times can be hard and we all make typos, this rule will need proof that PSA will investigate before making ANY decision.)

4. Government programs and departments will look for PSA companies first, but will also look for a good price. PSA will not be used to influence their choice, if this is attempted, an immediate 10 day temp-ban will be placed on the offending company.

5. If any member is not satisfied with PSA advertising within 30 days of joining all moneys will be refunded. (As all money is donated Zagarius will pay these refunds from his personal account. Once the company leaves it cannot return for 60 days.)

These rules are subject to change, but any changes will not go into effect for 5 days from date of posting.

If you still have questions that were not answered here please follow this link to the country forum and post them there and they will be answered in my next PSA article. Expect a PSA article once a week.
