Analysis of the election

Day 737, 05:25 Published in Switzerland Switzerland by JNArno

Hi everyone.

On this edition of The Leman Oberver, we'll talk about the congress election!

First I would like to thank all of you for the election and especially the 10 who voted for me (nop, I didn't vote for myself!)! With your help, I finished in the second place of the overall election and first place in Romandie. I would like also to thank you to have followed my demand to vote for the other candidat after I reached the 7 votes mark. It's half of what I had last time but considering the number of candidats here, it's really cool.

For this analysis, I'll use a lot of number, I'm sorry for those who don't like that:

-You were 184 to vote yesterday which is a little less than the 211 of the last presidential election. This makes a 38% of participation which is still a good number but who can be better than that.

-The final results are:
19 seats (88 votes/47.5% of congress/4.63 votes per seats/47.82% of overall votes) for the Swiss Liberal Party
14 seats (53/35%/3.78/28. 8%) for the Shaolin Monastery
4 seats (23/10%/5.75/12. 5%) for the Swiss Democratic Party
2 seats (14/5%/7/7. 6%) for the Swiss Nationalist Front
1 seat (6/2.5%/6/3. 26%) for the Swiss Elite Party

This leads me to some conclusion: if you look here for the numbers I used, you'll see too that althought the SM is second in the election, they have no members in the first two places in each region and no in the first three places in our region with the most people: Deutschschweiz and Romandie.

But they still have 14 votes althought they recived the least votes per seats: why? because they organised themselves better than us in the SLP... Renouille has 16 votes, it's awsome, but with only 6 of his votes, we could have saved 4 seats from the SM... Next time, we will have to be more carefull with our votes. I recommend you this new site: eAnalytics, who's still in devloppment but who is good to see the elections "in live".

Now I would like to congratulate all the new congressmen (and women), I really hope that with the representation of five parties, we can make eSwitzerland work better (yes, even with the Shaolins). All congressmen? not really. Althought he's a man who you could really count on when we were fighting to free our first region, Clifford Burns crossed the line during the past few days... As I understand that he has not the same opinion as ours, I let you appreciate his behaviour:

Why UK PTO? You can look there. And I want to ask him that: how can a president (who's swiss by the way...) PTO his own country? As we were in IRC, I was asking him what he fellt about my program where he told me that he didn't care because I was in a party that supported the fact that we were in EDEN. I find that so childish and I'm worried that we won't be able to work with him.

Now, let's enjoy this day as the first democratic congress election since a long time ago! Thanks again everyone and see you soon on IRC and in the forum!

Thank you for your time, and, YES, this was Gruyère Propaganda!
