Gabriel White for the Senate
Gabriel White
Hi everyone,
I'll be running again for the elections in South Australia. South Australia has done very well recently, acquiring a Q5 hospital for state growth, and this was a particular focus of mine in the previous term. If elected, I will be focusing on ways to improve our industries, particularly the weapons industry, to make weapons cheaper and affordable to train with.
Currently Q1 weapons are hovering around the 5AUD mark, they used to be higher, however I think that with lower iron import taxes, rather than domestic iron production (workers in this industry would be far more productive for the country if they worked in the diamonds industry, for example) weapon prices can be dropped further. I will be introducing a bill into the senate that reflects this.
Other policies that I support:
- A long-term MPP with the US (whether or not we become a full member of EDEN)
With the increase in alliance costs it will make it very hard to maintain MPP's with all EDEN members, therefore I propose that we just maintain one with the US and selected Sol nations, who's military capability is more than able to hold off against any indonesian threat
- Further hospital development for Tasmania and the NT
These states are the only two that do not have Q5 hospitals, and while some may argue that hospitals in these states are unnecessary, the fact is that hospitals in these states will help retain new players that begin in these states, boosting our economy and military. Also, being one of the few nations that have Q5 hospitals in every state would attract more immigrants, further boosting Australia's population base.

how do you intend to help drop weapons prices?
eAustralia has no high iron regions so we can't develop them.
Lowering import taxes will decrease the end price giving the overseas iron producers more chance to lower their price and undercut our market even more while maintaining the same profit margin and destryoing the few eAustralian iron companies that manage to make a profit.
I think you misunderstand maggot master. I'm talking about developing our industry in non-iron areas, e.g. diamonds, and that Australia should abandon a domestic iron industry in favor of cheaper overseas iron. With this cheaper iron our weapons industry will be able to produce cheaper weapons.
