Corey Blake for SA Senator: Return of Dignity

Ladies and Gentlemen of this great nation, I come forth to you again, asking that you re-elect me into your Senate. Over the passed month, I have watched the Senate go from one of its highest points, in regards to dignity and respect from the people, to its lowest. I plan to change all of that.

First, I plan, and have been already working on, a court system for eAustralia. After the breakout of impeachments this term, it is relevant that the Senate cannot hold responsibility to impeachments. So I have planned, a 3 section Judicial Branch for eAustralia:

State Magistrate: Here, contracts can be drawn up by Judges to assure one citizen isn't being taken advantage of. These contracts would be posted and signed on the eRep forums- Contract section, so they can be enforced.

High Court: Here, citizens can appeal bans from forums and/or IRC. Also, the military court will be located in the High Court.

Supreme Court: This is were impeachments will be presided over. Along with that, this also serves to make sure the Senate and Executive branch does things legally.

The blueprint still has a few loose ends that need ironed out, but I promise you I will have it on the Senate floor by my first week in office.

Second, I will push for a more formal debate and procedure in the workings of the Senate. A lot of times during debates and voting, things get off-topic or turns into a flame war. As elected officials, we owe it to the people to show class and respect when it comes to the future of this country.

Finally, I want to leave you with this quote, something to think about election day:

“Remember this, that there is a proper dignity and proportion to be observed in the performance of every act of life”

-Marcus Aurelius (AD 121-180)
