The FDP Community Action Program
Arthur Wellesley
The Free Democratic Party is not against charity. Individuals from our ideological background are often maligned as not caring for the plight of the poor and downtrodden. That is not so. Indeed, liberals (in the classical sense) such as ourselves embrace charity. We encourage one individual to voluntarily give of himself to help his neighbor. It is only when resources are extracted out of one by the government and given to another, without consent or voluntary association, that we have a problem with promoting the general welfare. Having said this, I wish to announce a new program that I have just announced on the FDP party forums, the FDP Community Action Program.
Under the CAP, FDP members are encourages each week to go out into the community and find new or struggling players in need of help. We will find them and help them. If they need food, we will donate them enough food to get them through at least a couple of days to build up some cash. If they need a job, we will ask around and see if we can find them a good job at a stable company where they can build up their skill. If they need advice or instruction, we will give it to them or find someone who can. The FDP envisages this as a reverse buddy system. Instead of new members seeking out older players to ask for help, the older players are going to seek out the new ones and ask if we can help them. We hope that this will bolster a community spirit and show that welfare can be promoted without wanton government intervention and economic extraction.
All FDP members are asked to tell their buddies to send me a private message, telling me about their experience. Each week, should the program be successful, I will select a few messages and highlight them on the party forums and in party newsletters. I hope that we can encourage people from all parties to engage in this sort of community aid, and I look forward to seeing the results.
I am, etc.

\o/ GO FDP!
I would be bloody impressed if someone couldn't afford 0.75 GBP for Q2 Food, or find a skill 0 job which are supposed to be up 24/7.
I smell propaganda 😃
@ Goku Jones.
Yes those things are easier to come by, but they can get help in regards to other things in the game as well.
How to join the Military for example, or how having higher wellness will help them keep their job because of better productivity etc.
I'll be on the look out for anyone who needs help!
Fresh ideas? Certainly not from the FDP!
Also that wasn't a compliment. Get some fresh ideas o/
Always good to see political parties working for the betterment of society, good job guys!
Maybe you'll support rolling this out as a government program though, that way we can help everyone, not just a few people who are lucky enough to meet you guys 🙂
Iain, you know the FDP is against almost all government welfare programs.
So you're against Government welfare programmes, but it's OK when you guys are doing it?
Also, you spelt neighbour wrong. This is the UK.
We are against Government welfare programs because they involve involuntary extraction of resources from one and redistribution to another, i.e., theft.
We support charity.
Redistribution of wealth is surely favoured by the poor uniformly (whom you aim to help) rather than sitting upon the high horse of wealth throwing your paper money from above so that you feel superior and have an additional thing to add to your list of "Things that make me a better person than everyone else".
If you truly wish to help the poor and lower-leveled players, why aren't you in the PCP helping to do their good work?
FDP!!
are you guys as helpful as you say you are? what can you do for me?
