Cerri's Cabinet -just in case your interested
Cerridwen Voeland
Since you all asked sooo nicely, I thought I'd tell you who I had in mind to guide our Country through the coming month ...
dPM - Garven Dreis
Garven Dreis has proven his dedication to eAustralia, having held numerous positions within eAustralian politics. Garven is a trusted advisor and committed member on the forums and IRC - I am not available, I know he would do the right thing for eAustralia and I therefore place my (and hopefully, your 😛
) faith in his ability over the next month.
MoFA - Newt Gingrich, Mark Sanchez
Well, we are moving towards a more formal alliance now - and still have local neighbours we need to work with. Newt and Mark are no strangers to working with government, right now, we need to continue to build relationships to ensure our future security and protection. I also expect them to keep the doors open with our local neighbours (including Indonesia), and continue to show Sol that we are committed to working with them.
Defence - Timeoin & Cozza
Reminisce, Dean and Binda33
We are now in the position where all branches of our military can make a real contribution. to this end I am continuing with boot camp, and will ensure we have a strong, motivated and ready to respond military. There will be increased costs, considering our military will be active in more than just war games.
Industry - Xavier Darkmyre
MoI is more than running government companies, it is about demonstrating and maintaining good practice. The MoI will be expected to publicly report on the state of Industry. If companies act unethically the Minister will be commenting. There will be regular provision of information - for consumers, and managers. With the introduction of WA companies onto the market, the MoI role will be integral. I have spoken to Xavier and he feels more than up to the task.
MoImmigration and Security - Patrick Reckitt,dMoICS dylan of darkness
Immigration and Security - We will need information - and fast if we are to stay a step ahead. Apart from the fact he has done it before, Patrick knows what's needed to protect our country's interests - and this means, ensuring senate has access to needed intel before things blow up in our faces. I expect him to monitor and report on applicants of citizens to ensure our nation safe from threat of PTO, as well as work with our intelligence agencies to report back to senate on any issues that affect our national interest.
With the departure of Zaney, eASIO is in need of a new Chair, I have asked Patti11 to fill this role
MoF - Dark Vorodor, dMoF - Johnathon Brown
Vorodor's past performance in Finance speaks for itself. With the return of WA and a potential increase in player base, there will be an increased need to closely monitor the value of the Australian dollar, as well as ensure we are protected from economic attack. Increased military activity will of course result in increased cost, as will the strategic pursuit of MPP's ingame.
MoInfo - Corey Blake, CrowdedHouse
I have noticed how scarily susceptible Aussies are to propaganda. We have played neutral for so long it has been very easy to keep our head in the sand here. Informed citizens are much harder to manipulate and less likely to make careless decisions. We have quite an effective Ministry of Information, but we need to be looking at more than just ourselves. CoreyBlake and CrowdedHouse have agreed to expand the Ministry of Information to cover both domestic and foreign affairs issues in the weekly public reports.
MoCS - Listhp Tomptos
dMoCS -DyceyFarley
dMoCS -Rakkeyal
Obviously, most of you would be aware of my involvement in support and education of eAustralians. I believe that this is one of THE most important things we can do to help Australia- active players will help all aspects of our economy and military. To do this, we need to provide more direct opportunities to support players in building knowledge and understanding, get them engaged and meeting people. We have 20-30 new citizens a day - while I can see why we would want to advertise outside eRep to get more people to join, it would mean a lot more if we could hold on to those 20-30 new citizens that signed up 🙂
Listhp has agreed to provide the below programs through Cultural Services
eMentor
Wellness program
Competitions (social and educational..gotta have _some_ fun 😛
)
Wiki maintenance
Development of a Library to be placed on the forums

Looking good to me. 🙂
Nice.
Nice cabinet. 🙂
Not to brag or anything, but I pretty much make that Cabinet shine 😛
Q5 Cabinets just $19.95! Lowest price since day 353
Oh wait, we're talking about presidential cabinets..er..
I'm on there 😃
Nice balance IMO
There's an Australian with the name Newt Gingrich? Yuck
A very good list, Cerri 🙂
@ Spencer Magee - Newt has been Australian since... well, forever 😛
Thanks for this, great info.
/me does a happy dance!
good luck Cerri
Looks good and good luck, you have my vote.
Just a side note:
When I first joined the game (not all that long ago), there didn't seem to be a real attempt from the Government or public in general to reach out and help me grasp a better understanding on the game, its concepts and the mechanics of it. I do not know if this was replicated with many other new players or if I just slipped through the cracks so-to-speak. If the former is the case then I would like to see a big effort on behalf of the Government to educate new citizens more.
I am not sure how this would be implemented (maybe some sort of rewards scheme?), as my knowledge and understanding of the game is still somewhat vague.
And that is my 2 cents (also not sure if this was really the correct place to post this 😛). 🙂
Regards,
Mark
Great list. I'm proud to know and serve with these folks.
@Hynesm - I didn't start in eAus, but can still identify. I learned about eRep much as I learned about love - trial and error and a lot of bad advice! I've since found great mentors on the forums (both eRep and eAus)and the irc and am honoured to share what I've learned.
Educating players is a top priority for me. If you have specific problems you've faced and can share please let me know. I'll make sure it's addressed as we move forward.
@Hynesm. Normally the government is REALLY REALLY good at educating new citizens about how to play this game. Unfortunately, though, around about the time when you would have joined up, Cerri was away on holidays. Cerri normally dedicates countless hours into helping new players each day, and I believer that there were some problems replicating this when she was away on holidays.
@Dycey Farley - I got your PM and will discuss it further with you there.
@Timeoin - I hope so, because I really like this game but came very close to quitting for lack of knowledge. Also, I wasn't trying to criticise anyone, but rather trying to make sure that others were aware of it.
Thanks for the replies 🙂
Mark
There may be increased costs to your military expenditure but look at it this way. You're spending more on your industries; therefore, helping out your economy. That's at least the quick way of explaining it and it's worked out well by making the game funner for E/B/P. This is what war does in eRep. Glad to see Australia whole again 🙂
gratz on the win...unless theres a landslide at last hour XD
probably a good idea for everyone to subscribe to this paper i guess XD
