[XG4CP] XG Platform 1. - Parliament & Foreign Policy
Xavier Griffith
There has been much discussion about what the Prime Minister Candidates will be doing. I want to take this chance to outline some of the things I will be implementing with my cabinet if I win at the next election:
The Parliament
One of the major things that has caused problems is a serious lack of communication between the Executive and Senate. This will change with my Executive, as the image shows above, the Australian Parliament is made up of both the Executive Government and the Senate acting as one. In Game this occurs as well, there are some things that just cannot be done without the other. There has also been a serious lack of information to the people of Australia. With this I will bring:
1. Constant Information flow to the Senate;
2. Where possible, constant weekly thread with information about what is going on as a special Cabinet Thread in the Forum to allow Senate to receive updated information on anything Cabinet related all in one place.
3. Information in the Department of Information Newspaper, sent out weekly where possible, outlining what has occurred and to keep the people apprised of what is occurring.
Foreign Policy
There is a lot going on in relation to Foreign Affairs at the moment. With a move by the current Government to align us with CoT and forge a peace with Chile and re-aligning our MPPs to our traditional allies. While I personally believe this is the best move forward for OUR NATION, and I fully support the idea of a regional alliance as can be seen by my attempt to create the APA, the people have not been permitted to have a say in the matter and deserve one.
Some of the things I will commit to as an election promise to the people are:
1. Within the first week of election I will create a discussion thread on the forums for the people to discuss a full move and application to CoT;
2. At the end of that week, a referendum will occur on the forums, to ensure that only Australian Citizens (or previous Australian Citizens) are voting and not non-Australian Citizens, so if you do not have a Forum account, I recommend you sign up for one as soon as possible to ensure your voice and vote on this important issue is heard (even if you never use it again after that).
3. Continue to work with Chile and find a trusting solution to any issues we may still have and should a Treaty be approved prior to the CP election, I commit to ensure that all parts of the agreement are kept.
4. MPP stack will move to a more pro-CoT stack if the public agree in the referendum that is our way forward.
5. If agreed by the public in the referendum a full move to CoT membership will be made.
6. It is time to put our old differences with some of our Regional Neighbours aside and look at what is the best move for OUR NATION instead of worrying about others first.
I apologise for the no fluffy Cat pictures or Boob pictures for those that like them, I take my PM candidacy seriously so won’t be using them. I will present more of my Election Promises to the People in within the next few days, and hopefully my Cabinet list for you before the election.
Regards
Xavier Griffith

"In Game this occurs as well"..
This is your problem - you place the forums and the meta game first before the game itself. That's folly as it has no relevance to the game mechanics that govern the truth to power of all nations and is an artificial platform for dictatorial overlords we don't need or want.
Actually TJ I don't have a problem. But It is sometimes forgotten by some in the game, especially on the forums. I tried to bring the nation to a full ingame only concept and drag some of it away from the forums, I was fought tooth and nail by some people, you were one of them. Yet, that said the forums are still a part of the community and that can't be denied. Either way, I use both to acthieve what needs to be done, the same as I'll use IRC when that needs to be used.
I may be a "has been" but I'm a "has been" that has never had their Terms as Prime Minister beaten as some of the best and most productive of our Nation. Its time some of the "Has Beens" return for a little while, hopefully bring the Nation back on track and stop it self-destructing.
For your own information TJ, you may be the type of person that can't change to changing cirucmstances, but I can, i've done it before and I can and will do it again if the need arises, and I believe it has.
greetings from Indonesia!

I'm looking forward for Australia to join CoT ; )
Good luck XG.
Thanks for answering the call XG. : )
@RaviMirza: I'm actually looking forward to working with some old friends and some new ones. I hope the nation agrees.
Thanks Lany and Binda. : )
Besides 1,2,4,6 in FA everything else sounds fine.
Wow, a lot going on by the looks of things. Is there history involved? Is there somewhere a new player can get a brief history of what's happened so we can understand what's going on now? Would be helpful.
I like how you are prepared to let the people have a say before moving anything one way or the other, even though you have a personal preference. Good luck Xavier Griffith.
@ Callumh: so you don't believe that the people deserve a say in the direction of our nations move? You don't believe that they should vote on moving towards full CoT membership, which would be needed away by CoT before we could request membership? You don't think it's time we thought about what is best for us first instead of worrying about what is best for other nations and that the people should have a say in that?
No, I guess you wouldn't be, your a member of the Australian Communist Party and they believe the people should be seen, not heard and simply do as they are told. Much like the current government acted this term. Sorry Callumh, I'm not a communist and I DO believe the people's voices should be heard, listened to and taken note of. No change will work here unless everybody agrees on the change and there is far too much at stake if everybody is not on board with this major change option in our FP.
Good luck XG. The forum is a powerful tool for cooperation when use correctly. XG has done this successfully before. Usually it involves keeping the egos of ministers in check.
@ Kylyn: thank you, welcome to Australia, as it is at the moment. Yes, a lot of history. In someways your better off not knowing it, but you do deserve to know I guess. A location with a brief history for newer players might be a good idea, and a plan in thought at present.
lol just lol. That was not even my problem with it but okay XG.
I see being in ACP means I love dictatorships right? Bloody moronic.
My problem with it is that we will not be allowed to join CoT for the time being making the point moot.
Thanks again for jumping the gun.
Callumh, it doesn't matter at this point if we can join CoT or not. The point is that the people will be able to have a say. They will be able to be heard, listened to and have things explained properly to them if they have questions, then they get a chance to vote for or against the IDEA and the ACTION needed to go one way or the other. The nation can then move in THAT direction as ONE.
You think I'm planning anything different to what witherd wants? I don't think so, his own Article says pretty much the same thing for the same reason. The difference, you and the ACP support him and not me, that's fine, each party is allowed to make their choice.
A referendum is different to a general consensus. A referendum would be choosing to actually join the CoT alliance or not. CoT will simply not take us at this point in time. Getting a consensus is always a good idea, but the point of people voting is that they agree with your policies and ideals so it is for you to make the tough calls because you will never get a definitive position.
Explain things properly then, that's a good thing. The problem is if you find it practical during your term (if elected). It is nearly impossible to be objective when addressing geopolitics and a lot of the information will go over a lot of people's head.
But if you manage to make it work, kudos.
I will not delve into why Witherd was chosen as our candidate, it is pointless.
XG a newsflash for you - you're no Ranger Bob. Ranger was a true consensus builder, diplomat and machine rolled into one. You attempt to move the country through RP, insider-powered negotiation and having it all your way. Evidence is abundant on your very own forums from your previous time as PM. The irony of being hoisted on your own petard abounds.
Your defamation of political parties who don't support you contradicts your own statements about national unity and demonstrates, rather publicly and sadly, that you haven't learned a thing. Your ego is a dangerous liability, but one which will aide your opponents who are fortunate enough to lack that - which is a positive.
Not for nothing - trying to manhandle Callum is yet another fine demonstration of has been elitism. You may control the forums and the power-hungry fringe dwellers within, but you don't control the election of political parties.
Seriously, that is priceless from a guy who couldn't bring back the party he so frequently touts as one he founded, back from the brink of PTO. Perhaps if you were more active and dedicated to the game as opposed for exploiting the system for another 5 minute quick hit you would have taken more prompt action to save the AI.
This is a perfect parallel to draw against your own grandiose statements regarding your alleged political prowess. Let it be known I'm not knocking Larni for this incase she gets the wrong opinion of it, but just saying if you were so powerful you wouldn't have required her to put you on the ballot - you would have had your own party, which by your own past words are so proud of, to give you its blessing.
So really XG, what's this vanity exercise of yours all about? I await the straight no BS answer.
maybe it is time for the top 100 to leave australia and join other nations see how long they last in other countries 😃
Thank God, the time is coming for a helpful inclusive Australia.
this is not so much a revolution that the ARP will be ushering in
it will be a Renaissence what Australia so badly needs. A world about to dawn, the night that ends at last \o/
Where everybody's voice will be heard & listened to
Excellent article XG \o/
You have a good policy there. It seems to be a bit different to the views some people (including the Party President) in the Australian Revolutionary Party have.
But if what Callumh said is true and we wont be allowed to join CoT either way, whats the point of wasting time with a discussion thread on the forums? We can save that for a time when we actually get an invite to join CoT and then discuss what the community wants to do.
because if and when the time comes, we will be ready to move. why do people get pre-approved bank loans when going to buy a house???
@Nathan: Well, that just puts me in your comment, I am currently ranked as of this moment at 100th : ) But then I have been overseas and worked with others Nathan, in fact I was elected as a member of the eIsrael Knesset, serving a full term there before returning to eAus at the request of some citizens. I have also been in eJapan and then took on the Mantle of Interim Chancellor of the Asia Pacific Alliance. CoT is a watered down version of that Alliance. I hope that answers your question.
@roboz: I think Infin said it all in his comment. I will add though, there is no guarantee one way or the other that CoT will allow us to join at the present moment. By the same token, not every Aussie has had the chance to have their say regarding the direction they want our nation to move in, and until that happens, the Nation as a WHOLE will not be in the same field as the Government. The Government can say what it likes, but if the people aren't with the Government, what is the point of the Government? Without the people's approval of a specific move, any deal or agreement that the Government Makes is ultimately bound to failure.
We must move as a Nation in the Direction WE as a Nation choose to move, without doing that, we are bound to repeat the mistakes of the past.
@TJ Norton: and if you actually gave a shit about our Country, you wouldn't have fled it and taken US Citizenship when things didn't go the way you wanted them to in more than once instance? Need I say more?
You are elected by the people, the senate is elected by the people. YOU are the one who makes the decisions, as well as the senate. If CoT does give us the green light to join you call a referendum to either join or not. However, gathering a general consensus provides as close as you will get position from the people. Less than 150 people will vote though, which is the the problem and will never be definitive.
Calling a referendum now is just silly, people's opinions change and geopolitics changes.
😁^
This is so sad,
the Australian people SHOULD be given a chance to voice their views.
to suggest that it is silly to give them such a chance.
That is the sort of attitude that makes it necessary to have a revolution.
And its sad that a revolution is the only option to bring about change & inclusiveness
Oh wow did you even read what I said?
I said there should be a consensus. A referendum at this stage is not the right path.
Stop pushing your faux Revolution agenda.
Taking you at your word then Callumh,
how do you arrive at a consensus?
A couple of ways.
Do a gdoc form.
An article
Or a forum vote.
Take your pick.
Sounds boring. Won't bring my fighting power back 🙁
love it mate and wish you luck 🙂
Do a gdoc form.
An article
Or a forum vote.
why not a referendum then - what is so different here?
Wow, thanks for responding to me...I didn't expect that. Will be interesting to see what you come up with. Thanks for responding and good luck.
Kylyn, you are an Aus citizen & you have every right to be heard & your questions answered.
That is one of the main planks of the Aust Revolutionary Party.
Power must be returned to the people, we are all members of the community.
For too long the only time ordinary players were noticed was when elections came around.
And only then, and the interest was to get those players to vote elites in.
After which they were forgotten till next time.
@Kylyn: your most welcome, and your comment actually highlighted something for me that needs to be rectified. I hope, if I win as CP the Government can do something officially to help, if not, I'll work on something personally after the election.
XG for CP!
scottty dont waste your time coming back, join another country, as long as morons like louise and larni have a say eAus is in deep shit
Move to western eaus and fight my friends! Add me to your friends list and i can help with food and weapons, ill be starting a MU and New Party soon, its time to take back eAus from the current cowards in charge.
SOmeone that writes prettier should also contact me. I am a tactician to a politician.
Tim so you are saying that because Larni & I have different views to you we are morons.
And that even though we are Australian we should have no say in the affairs of Australia?
While you, who rejected being Australian & became a German, consider you should have a say, and are in effect conspiring against Australia by trying to get Australians like scottty (who is a very powerful fighter for Australia & who does use his brain) to leave.
I have had far far less influence than you in Australia's affairs - my "say" till now has been limited to my voice - any you would like to take even that away from me?
Louise, I'm afraid some people are starting to see you as something of a rabble rouser, a bit like Icetek but with a less harsh demeanor. a person who stirs up the passions or prejudices of the public, usually for his or her own interests; demagogue.
Lany I am certain that some people see me that way, in fact you do not have to search very far to see the comments.
I hope other people see me for what I am trying to achieve here. Certainly it would involve passions, but where do I stir up prejudices? - I thought I have made my message clear I am wanting ALL Australians having a say & involved in the running of Australia - everyone, the "revolution" is inclusive - the only people excluded are those that exclude themselves.
And what are my interests here? to have a say in the running of our country - the very same interests I want EVERYBODY to have.
And please do not consider ordinary Australians as "rabble" . That is oldfagist talk
I consider myself an ordinary eAustralian so I wasn't meaning any offense, just saying what I think some folks might be perceiving.
Lany I did not take offense, nor did I consider you intended it.
I saw your comment as an opportunity to clarify things & I am pretty sure you intended it that way to.
Its this way.
There are people who look carefully at what I have said, others who may seize on one thing only & ignore the context, others who believe the spin & downright lies said about me.
No way I am a "Rawwwaah fight forever, death before dishonour, dosen't matter if we get wiped forever".
But some people will not believe that and may still be suspicious about me.
The ARP is a movement - there is NO rigidly enforced "Party Line" the end goal is the same for all of us but there are differences of opinion in how we get there. There is Molly Jo, Larni, Xavier Griffith - not to mention many others - we all have a say, we all are listened to, we are governed by common sense & inclusiveness
