[WYD] The future of eIndia is very bright because... (Day 1821)

Day 1,821, 16:58 Published in India Canada by Addy Lawrence

Foreward...

There wasn't anything written down about members of UAgg participating in politics. My understanding was that we agreed not to run for elected positions for two months as a condition of our citizenship approval. That said, we were welcome to become members of parties and become politically active in other ways, provided it was in the best interests of the country.

My efforts in this article are made in the spirit of that understanding.

On my membership in India United...

I conducted a small, private Q&A with each of the party presidents last month, and India United's HemanathanKumar impressed me the most with his candid responses, volunteering some of the warts on the face of his party, and speaking genuinely about what the party was about and its proud history. I have decided to join India United and try to maintain that pride in party politics.

I have found that some people enjoy being lazy in the party, and that is fine, not everyone has time nor in-game wealth to do things. For those that do, I am leading a small project for the party that will benefit of all eIndia.

On India United's Writing Contest...

I invite you all to participate in a writing contest sponsored by India United.

The contest is restricted to players with eIndian citizenship.

To qualify as an entry in the contest, the article must be tagged with [IUWC] in the title.

The article must be on topic and begin with the following, "The future of eIndia is very bright because..."

Articles must be no more than 1,000 words in length.

You do not have to be a member of India United to qualify, this contest is open to all citizens regardless of partisanship.

The IUWC Committee will judge the articles, members of the committee cannot enter the contest. The committee is comprised of Dinesh Raju, ShockWavve and myself. I am the Chair of the committee. Judging will be based on:
-50% Quality of Journalism
-50% Relevance to the theme (Why eIndia's future is bright)

Prizes have been donated to this project by Asmitatheone and myself. Thank-you Asmita for the prizes and for trusting me enough to hold them until the winner is declared. The top three articles will receive prizes:
-First gets 30 Q7's and 1,000 INR
-Second gets 20 Q7's and 750 INR
-Third gets 10 Q7's and 250 INR

The deadline for entries will be Nov 23 at 11:59 eRep time, all articles postmarked after that time do not qualify. The goal is to announce a winner as early as possible on Nov 24

Denouement

I hope this project enriches the media over the next ten days.

India United hopes that this contest raises the profile of our party's interest in eIndia becoming the best it can be and realizing its potential.

I look forward to what eIndians are excited about in the future.
