Dear friends and fellow eIrish,
It has been reported to me that The UK has refused to renew our region swap
This is disappointing as it was a win win situation for both our countries
However we will continue to work to improve eAnglo-eIrish relations.

Massive rejection too. Probably makes it easier for us as it did cause some resentment here having the UK flag on Irish territory. Shame, but there you go.

Seriously? The UK voted 102-39 against it so it's not got past the British hurdle before it gets here. Not much we can do if their population is so much against it.
I expect you to be capable to talk to the proper people in the UK but you can't. I expect that you could make a deal that would work, but you can't.

Personally, I'm glad to see us keeping our land. Do we lose a small food resource bonus? Sure. Have you looked at the price of food lately? We don't need to produce any more...

We didn't "lost" food bonus, we lost our door to other parts of world, without Scotland we're like in jail, we can't attack noone cept UK. I guees we're staying on our little boring island and that's annoying.
Also it's not whs's fault we didn't had nothing to offer to them. They have fruit in Belgium if they want but as Ghoti said food isn't so valuable anymore. So we didn't had nothing to offer to them and they are stronger then us.

There's only so much one person can do/say, the rest is in the hands of the beholder. Bashing the CP because a deal didn't go through is dumb. Some people in eUK wanted it, but most did not. If you read the articles posted in eUK about the situation and background between our two eCountries, you will see exactly why they weren't interested/wanted to help. It's a shame that we can't work together, but mainly shows the lack of trust/faith between our two eCountries.
We've neither the might or money to manage a region swap with uk effectively
Doubt the region swap would have survived the oncoming Keers presidency anyhow.
It seemed those in support of the move economically over there didnt approve of giving away Scotland.
