[WHPR] Day 4706: ReWa Day 2 Update
James S. Brady Press Room
Dateline: Thursday, October 8th, 2020 (Day 4706)
Location: James S. Brady Press Room, The White House
1: ReWa
2: Safe Regions
1: ReWa
The Bubblar team took office yesterday, and hit the ground running. The first hours and days of Resource Wars were an astounding success.
Our first resource, just hours after the event began, was fish. The original plan was for fish to be placed in Virginia and the rest of the food resources to be placed in DC, however, fish were placed in DC due to a misclick. No harm done, DC will now hold fish and Virginia will now hold the other food resources.
Since then, we have also collected Iron and Aluminum.
We have 3/10 of the resources on our goal list. With 31 total days in the event, this puts us 8 days ahead of schedule for getting 5/5 food and 5/5 weap.
This is not a reason to celebrate yet, as the resources we have are 2 very common and 1 common.
We will need to fight hard and compete for those rare and very rares.
How do we do that?
Every 30k domination points we get on the battlefield gives our country a point that can be used to purchase and allocate resources. The more points we have, and faster we get points, the easier it will be for us in the Exec to swipe up what we need before other countries get their grubby little hands on it!
So what you can do is keep our walls flipped the way they should be! Win battles for us! Earn domination points, and we’ll get resource bonuses for years to come.
WHPR will give you regular updates with our progress towards maxed food and weapon bonuses. So stay tuned!
2: Safe Regions
Our safe regions will now be DC, Virginia, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Following ReWa, other regions will be used for training wars!
If you need to move, you are encouraged to fight and collect Factory Reset Tokens!
These will at least defray some of the cost of moving companies, although it may not completely cover the costs.
Currently, there is no discussion or proposal active in congress or the executive for moving supplemental funds, although the topic has been discussed privately by various members of both bodies. Such a program is a definite possibility once ReWa progresses further and we see how it goes.

With only 4 safe region this will screw folks (like me) that want a small town for residence - because of lower property tax (house activation fee) and increased house duration bonus
Right now we have more than 4 safe regions and I see no reason why we would decrease that number to 4 (except more TWs of course). I guess those 4 are just the "safest" and not the only ones, the same as right now. But this is just talking, the way I see this at the moment, we won't get full bonuses anyway.
Per article
Our safe regions will now be DC, Virginia, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Following ReWa, other regions will be used for training wars!
At moment require more safe regions to maintain connectivity of all the resources and the capital.
And agree at the moment not looking good for full Weapons/Food bonuses
Thanks for the article. Good to know where we are at.
We are literally nowhere. We got 3 (common and very common) resources and we even seem to afford mistakes in placing them - I was wondering why priorities changed and DC was no longer a 4 resources region. Nice, this affects all those with companies there. Meanwhile the other rare and very rare are decreasing in number (numbers which are low anyway).
And let's talk about coordination, which is probably invisible, since I can't see it. Fighting hard and earning domination points is per se not the solution, as long as those domination points come at the wrong time. I saw France yesterday for some 10 minutes being first in that chart with under 100 points, waiting probably the right time to take the important stuff.
Agreed about the missclick issue. That missclick now means quite many of us will have to move all of our companies from the DC.
74 countries means 740 resource slots.
588 resources are available.
Getting something shouldn't be too hard.
Getting full bonuses from the rare and very rare resources is where the real competition looks like it will be.
This is some good spin. How did you get Robert Gibbs to write your press releases?
