[WCA#4] A Senatorial Slaughterhouse.

Day 548, 22:58 Published in Australia Australia by haugenmatt

Hokay. So I’ve been working on this compilation to try and raise some more broad perspective of the parties coming up. I’ve included in each party (sorry Royalists, I just don’t know enough) a basic rundown of each party as well as a list of candidates from each party I think you should keep your eye on*.

The Australian Democratic Socialist Party (ADSP)
The Socialist Democrat Party. What does that mean? We are implementing mild checks on industry to keep the market at tip-top shape. We aren’t communist and we aren’t capitalist. We, as a party, are not hard to work with, as we, like every other party, do what we think is best for eAustralia. Like most have said, if you are generally happy with where we are today, you probably can’t go wrong voting the ADSP in again. But what more can I say about the ADSP? I feel extremely partial to this party since I have been around since its inception. I’ve watched this party take criticism and praise, it has been there through thick and thin. That being said, there is something to be said about who they (we) are. The one problem I have found with the ADSP is the quality of the candidate. Unless you have really looked into who you are voting for, you could be throwing your vote away. Let’s be honest here, if there is one party who has been guilty of having the most inactive members in the Senate it would most likely be the ADSP. It’s true. Why? Because it comes with our size. We put quite a few people in the Senate and I will also admit, not all of them are quality, but knowing this, we cannot neglect the other side. The ADSP has given us some irrefutably great senators and beyond that contributors. There is no doubt in my mind that the ADSP has done to most for our country this far. If you look at major leaders such as corny-ratbag and Xavier Griffith you will find that they were once ADSP members.
Selected Candidates: Br0adside, Ranger Bob, Preditorian, Aussie Vegeta, Coppr, haugenmatt, Mouj, and Son of Rambo.

True Blue Party (TBP)
Corny-ratbag. Successful entrepreneur and the only man I know who can raise such a strong party in such a short time. The story of this party speaks for itself: rising from nothing the 2nd at an astonishing rate. While it is a Center-oriented party, True Blue is often seen as swinging a tinge to the right (their alliance with the ANP for example). They are, however, a force to be reckoned with on the floor and are gaining influence in this nation. If you are looking for a flexible government that can cross the floor depending on the occasion you can’t go wrong with some of these TBP candidates.
Selected Candidates: TheBlackAdder, John Sykes, and Timothy Rogers.

The Australian Nationalist Party (ANP)
Founded by my good friend, Calibur, to oppose the leftist approach of the ADSP, the ANP has always been the stagnant cesspool in our paradise of socialism. All jokes aside (I do respect the ANP a lot), the ANP has represented right wing politics valiantly in the past and I see a revival on the horizon. I think a lot of business owners will either side with the ANP and TBP for lower taxes and less government involvement. If this sounds like something that interests you then the ANP could definitely use your vote.
Selected Candidates: Iwarrior1 and PezCore. I did not include caliber due to his relative inactivity in recent weeks, but he has done great things in the Senate before.

The Australian Independents Party (AIP)
If you can make any sense of this party then you are crazy. The true power of this diamond-in-the-rough is the quality of the individual candidates that run through it. Many of them are worth your consideration no matter what political party you hail from.
Selected Candidates: StewartB, srg91,eViL nUt, and Alex Australis.

The Australian Communist Party (ACP)
Founded by taytaz months ago, the ACP was a haven for radical ADSP members (radical socialists = communists! DUH!). They have played a very minor role in policy creation and have predominantly supported the ADSP in their endeavors. This party seems to have weakened in past elections with celebrities such as taytaz and widds fading out of the party. They are still, and always will be, your best bet if you are anything farther left than a socialist.
Selected Candidates: FallbackPants, bobdebilde, and Leon Alston.

*= Candidate list is based on all those registered for the elections on the eRepublik website. Among those I have chosen those few who I feel are active enough to be considered “good” candidates. If your name did not appear, please don’t be offended. I’m not saying you are bad, my judgment is just flawed 😉.
**= This article was in no way meant to be derogatory or diminishing to any party. I apologize for the length of the ADSP entry, but it’s hard to write anything less. I view all parties as legitimate and I believe we all just want what is best for eAus. I will always respect anyone who is willing to debate in a civil manner.

Thank you for your time and I hope this helped.
