[Ven4CP] And Farewell MDP

Greetings fellow eCanadians

On MDP:
I write to you now of contemplation, and the decision derived from it.

From the moment that I took interest in the political module, around March of last year, I have been in the Military Dictatorship Party. I have always been a firm follower of its tenets, as well as the expedient method of control and leadership that it holds. Unfortunately, the mandated voting and simulation of the Dictatorship is only true to the Party when the views of the Party are all the same.

In the past few months, I have witnessed elaborate and diverse shifts in both general and political mindsets in the minds of the Military Dictatorship Party. I have witnessed a Dictator go against his own ideals, which in my opinion mirror those of the MDP, to appease others. I have seen, and regrettably even participated in, flame wars among members who know that the path to success in the MDP is unity. For the past 7-8 months “trolling” with intent to harm has been occurring from all Parties, but this is the first that I’ve seen it occur inside the MDP itself.

While I still greatly admire, and will always favor the path that the Military Dictatorship Party can take, I have personally decided that the MDP has outgrown itself. I do not think that this is at the fault of anyone, but merely the path of growth that the MDP has taken as a party. I no longer feel that the body of individuals that make up the MDP can hold true to the MDP.

At least for me, the MDP has always carried with it a specific presence. In the face of Tyranny, that presence did not diminish. In the face of Famine, that presence did not diminish. In the face of success, or failure, that presence did not diminish. Yet now, I can not feel it.

I feel that I must now move on, to both clear my head and stop contributing to the divergence that is growing. I am not yet entirely sure where I will go. As of now, I will be heading over to MOO. I am also contemplating creating my own Party, but I merely do not know yet. Regardless, vast differences in opinion will be neither counter-productive nor hypocritical to the party that I will find myself in at the end.

On Ven4CP:

I would like to announce publicly that I fully intend on running for Country President on the 5th. That being said, as I am leaving MDP, I do not know if I will have the support of a Party behind me. As I see it, if I do not get the nomination from any party, then I do not deserve to win in the first place. This is all I will say on that matter.

I propose that I will attempt to, in no order of significance:
-Maintain and uphold the dignified and respectful approach to foreign affairs that I have pushed thus far this month.
Those who have witnessed this include I-Bleed-Blue, shoi, Dozzer, and oinyo, members from three different parties that I have been working with. Even when countries are at war, there is no need to “spit in the face” of those involved. In fact, this is the reason that we are still wiped. Just ask Kekos.

-Improve moral and activity in the citizens of eCanada through organized programs such as national or even international Timed Strikes.
Being wiped for any length of time produces an immediate feeling of stagnation and worthlessness that must be held back. Positive Moral, even in the face of destruction, is key to getting through tough times. Even if a Timed Strike is coordinated to help out our allies, involvement will improve moral.

-Continue to work towards an eCanada that is free of Spanish involvement.
This is going to be extremely difficult for 3 reasons. 1, until an alliance shift occurs, TWO is left with a ridiculous amount of leftover damage that they can direct anywhere. 2, Spain wishes to keep us wiped almost entirely because of how our foreign affairs have been handled in the past. And finally 3, immense coordination of hopefully cooperative allies is going to be required for this to happen any time soon.

-Continue to improve relations with Asgard, and hopefully be the first CP of eCanada after we are full members of the alliance.
I am a firm believer in Asgard, and greatly enjoy my talks with them. I frequently am in communication with Asgard and Co. over IRC, and it has made me appreciate the Alliance a lot more. All four members of Asgard, Sweden and Finland as full members and Canada and Norway as trial members, are like minded and hard headed, which I value. If an Alliance shift occurs, perhaps we could lean towards another group in terms of support and MPPs, but for me Asgard will remain priority number 1.

-Keep the general public informed
This is something that I value highly, and it is often overlooked by country administrators. If the public do not get updated, they start to believe that nothing is happening even if that isn’t the case. This is currently happening right now, and if I were CP I’d be doing more to keep this up. I am allowing Rolo his chance at CP.

I would also like to state that my actions as CP will be no different regardless of whichever Party I find myself in. I will act for Canada, as a mere Canadian. I am who I am, regardless of a Party tag.

If you have any questions about anything that may be unclear, or that I forgot to mention, feel free to send me a PM or comment below, and I will reply as soon as I can.

Thank you,
Venerable
Prime Minister
