[UKGov]Guide To... The Referendum Results

Day 1,822, 15:16 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office

So over the last couple of days people have had the ability to cast a vote in the Irish region swap referendum. Everyone in the eUK should have been messaged with a link to a google doc form with a few different options. These were; whether you agreed to the Region swap or not, your opinion on the eIrish and where you come from in real life. Of the people messaged, only 141 people voted in this referendum (pretty standard practice to get such a low turnout for a referendum if real life is anything to go by) and the results were very much definitive. Of the 141 people who voted, only 39 people voted “yes” compared to the 102 people who voted “no”. As such, by the power invested in democracy, we will not be trading any regions with the Irish for the time being, though we hope that this doesn’t cause any bad blood between us and our Irish cousins and we hope to continue improving our relationship in the future! So now for those of you who like graphs and are interested in the result, here it is below.

Thanks to those who cast their vote, and apologies if I missed anyone out, I PM’d everyone in a political party, but there’s always a chance that I missed one or two people out. That really was a long day! For those of you who missed it and want to learn more about eIreland then you can read about it in my latest article by clicking here in my last Guide To… eIreland and you can read even more on the situation by reading the article before that, by clicking here. In the meantime, have fun!

We have a brand new mentoring form! Now, if you want to have a mentor, be a mentor or you just have a question you wish to ask then don’t hesitate to take a look at the form here. I’ll be trying to circulate this over the coming month so please pass the link on to people who’ll need it!

Thanks for reading!
