[TWO] Updates on PEACE

Day 2,158, 05:28 Published in Hungary Hungary by TWO Alliance

Greetings.

First of all, a few updates from TWO. I am first of all pleased to announce a few arrangements and agreements on behalf of HQ. First and foremost, I am pleased to announce an agreement between Belarus-Romania-Hungary.

I won't bore you with the full details, but I would like to thank the Governments and Presidents of each country, for their co-operation in putting together this deal in quite frankly, less than ideal circumstances. The speed with which countries were able to respond to and co-operate with HQ was especially pleasing. For the avoidance of doubt; Belarus will release Moscow. Hungary will take this region. Romania will then take a few regions in the south of Russia, once they are released by Hungary. All actors in this agreement have done themselves, their countries, and TWO proud, by ensuring common ground was quickly found, and the cordial nature of the negotiations and discussions demonstrates how TWO, ACT and proTWO can, and should co-operate.

So if you can pop over to Belarus, and fight for Russia here, that would be much obliged.

Secondly as announced by the USA, Spain and Poland, there has been a surrender in North America. TWO and ACT ratified and agreed with this, and we added a full TWO/ACT-USA cease-fire for a period of no less than three months. This gives our alliance time to focus on countries who have, as yet, yet to really experience existential war. Whilst CoT and proCoT may complain of boredom, this is something TWO, ACT and proTWO have felt in much stronger degrees for some time now. A move away from recurring wars, towards fresher challenges based on the notion of threatening the existence of other countries, who have for some time sat in comfort, will undoubtedly lead to a more exciting world. Our moves in this sphere are already seen; no longer will TWO sit by as Indonesia idles in Australian regions. Chile too, is no longer on our 'must not wipe' list thanks to the expiration of the Chile-Argentina NAP.

Finally, a small point from HQ. A recurring topic amongst CoT nations, and indeed in the Congress's of some TWO/ACT proTWO, is the state of war these days. Boring, tedious, killing the game. HQ is not deaf to such claims. However, global wars are based on the lifespan of alliances. Whilst on the society pages of countries such as Bulgaria, USA, France, Switzerland, and the countless others may point to the war being won, the very existence of CoT itself is indicative that the message is not becoming clear. The quicker countries de-align themselves from CoT, the quicker countries realise that TWO isn't going to fold out of boredom, the sooner a credible alternative will arise and offer concerted resistance to TWO.

I should add that TWO has faced, and will obviously face more, global dynamics where we are not hugely dominant. The difference? On the map, not huge. I am pretty sure I speak for most of TWO when I say that a stronger opponent is something we relish, a challenge which occurs daily, and not just in the run up to the 25th, is something we sorely miss.

The solution to this is not for TWO to gracefully say "ok, we've done too well, we're too strong". The solution for this is for CoT to adapt, change, improve. EDEN, Phoenix, ONE, TEDEN. All adapted to situations not dissimilar to what CoT faces today. All enjoyed success, and repelled their stronger enemy alliance. Its pretty weird for the leader of the dominant alliance to openly call for and encourage that, right?

My final word, and justification for this is quite simple. CoT HQ, and a select few Presidents have already adopted what Gnilraps has talked about here. Essentially, the resources available, the effort required, the co-ordination demanded, to change the global dynamic, are all being ignored. To be absolutely clear, TWO is not going to be bored to death. Most of CoT is sitting on thousands of Gold, hundreds of thousands of CC, and a plethora of players willing to put in the time and effort to grow damage, armies and populations. The sooner you start trying to win, instead of hoping you can lose for so long that we get bored, the sooner everyone will start enjoying this game more.

Lots of love, on behalf of HQ and all our proTWO family,
jamesw
