Join the new world

Hi all,

Election day is well underway. Current results show that I will be elected as PP of TUP. Fellow TUP members will be pleased to know that I have been planning for this very outcome for the last week and have already been working on the tasks that I intend to get done over the coming month.



Thanks to everyone who has voted for me. And to those who didn’t, I hope I can you win you over during the course of the month through the increased activity and communication that you will be seeing.

Now a quick look at the elections in the other main parties:


UKPP
Sir Nick Griffin seems to have this one in the bag with a significant lead over posidon303. Quite why so many people wish to vote for a guy named after the RL leader of the BNP (with added knighthood) is beyond me but such is democracy. I only hope the more moderate members of UKPP can get their voices heard.


ESO
ApronChef wins by a large margin. Nice enough guy and probably a safe pair of hands. How much work will go into his term? We await with interest.


New Era
King Hannibal of Asia wins this one. I don’t know much about him other than he seems more of a military guy than a political one. Glad he’s there hitting on our side though!


UKRP
Thedark ace has a good lead here over Sean the Scot. His manifesto shows a willingness to put some effort into an attempt to bring back the UKRP glory days. This is a difficult task and one which can’t be achieved over a single term but looks like a good start and I wish him well in his efforts.


PCP
Steeeev and TheBolshevik are neck and neck at the time of writing. Steeev is a nice guy and a well known PCPer. Not sure how much work he’s able to put into the party but again, he’d probably be classed as a safe pair of hands. TheBolshevik is a brand new player who seems to have appeared totally out of the blue today. He seems to have very strong opinions for a new player but then he is a communist calling for revolution which isn’t all that surprising. Not sure what to make of him yet, time will tell.

Well done to those being elected.

I’d like to remind any interested TUP members that I’ll be opening a thread on the TUP forum today/tomorrow for you to register to run for congress elections. If you want to run then please sign up and join us on the forums and IRC. We really want newer, active members to run and they will be prioritised for congress seats, however, you must be extremely active. Experience is not important – you can learn from some of the most experienced players in the country who will be more than happy to help!

The party conference will also be opened today/tomorrow. It’s your chance to have your say, so we’re hoping for lots of new contributors.
