[TRS] Great finish to a campaign!

Well, things didn't turn out exactly as I had wanted them to in this Presidential election (i.e. I didn't win), but then again, I had a great time, learned a little bit more on how to campaign effectively, and hopefully, I'll do better next time eh? Hehe 😉

Anyhow I'd like to congratulate Kronos_Q for his victory, and I have to admit, I didn't expect to get less votes than Rolo, but I guess the more we allow people like him to get a free pass in this country, the more votes and support he'll continue to rack up.

Addy Lawrence didn't make quite the appearance I thought he would, and in my opinion, he hurt his reputation more than he should have with his run. I think we learned a valuable lesson today though, "who you were" doesn't matter very much anymore, and to be honest, that's not actually not a bad thing at all. It's great to see that eCanadians value the present and future more than a glorified past.

I think the fear of Kronos_Q, Addy Lawrence, Simon Broucher-Ruest and myself splitting the vote and giving Rolo the chance to sweep in with his consistent 150+ votes for a victory really pushed people to choose Kronos as the candidate to beat Rolo. Either way Kronos_Q enjoys the type of popularity that aspiring CP candidates would drool over, and that probably helped a lot also.

I'd also like to thank all the people whose support and kind words I rallied on in this election, and to them I promise that my vision will not end with my defeat in this election. Rather, the vision to create a better democracy will continue on, in congress, in the media, and in this community. I see that Kronos_Q has made it a campaign promise to be more communicative, and even more inclusive, so I think we have a very receptive President to these types of reforms this month.

I hope everyone enjoyed the show!

Now get back to work! 😛 😃

Cheers!
