[To all allies] The betrayal of Portuguese Government

Dear allies,

The portuguese Government is willing to sign an Non Aggression Pact with Spain that grants to our country 5 of the 7 original regions (excluding Norte and Algarve). This are the terms of the NAP:

1 - Spain will maintain Norte and Algarve. All other regions: Centro, Lisboa, Azores, Alentejo and Madeira, will be returned to Portugal. Portugal will run the costs of the RWs.

2 - Portugal and Spain agree to a Non Aggression Pact, from now on a NAP. Brazil will act as a guarantor of this treaty.

3 - This Treaty has a duration of 2 months.

4- Once these 2 months have passed, and after 7 days have passed after the CP’s election, both parties will arrange a meeting to renew/change it.

5 - Portugal agrees not to NE Mexico and Venezuela, while Spain guarantees no NE from Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, or Poland.

6 - Both parties agree not to let other countries pass through their territory in order to attack the other signer.

7 - Portugal agrees not to participate, finance nor to encourage in any way RWs in Norte and Algarve and shall demand to its allies not to participate, finance nor to encourage in any way those RW’s.

8 - If even though all the efforts, Norte and Algarve are lost through Resistance Wars, Portugal shall NE Spain and set its CoD/DO´s in those regions, guaranteeing that they will be returned to Spain. As soon as Spain recovers these regions, Natural Enemy status shall be ended as soon as possible.

9 - Modifications on any of theses points or new additions to the Treaty can be made only by both parties agreeing to that.

10 - This Treaty will enter effect only after its signature by both Presidents. (as in http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-governo-equipa-governamental-e-tratado-de-paz-2157785/1/20)

This NAP is yet waiting for the approval of Spanish congress.

This NAP guarantees no protection for portuguese allies in South America (more specifically Argentina and Colombia). But this NAP guarantees full protection for Spanish allies, like Mexico and Venezuela.

This NAP, if signed, is - in my opinion - one of the most outrageous betrayals to portuguese allies. The Portuguese government has forgotten how much Colombia and Argentina helped us in recent months.

What this does to our allies NAP is no different than what Brazil did to Portugal when they signed a NAP with Spain.

Portuguese allies - in first hand Argentina and Colombia - can count with all my damage in your campaigns.
Whenever I can I will support Resistence Wars in portuguese regions like Norte and Algarve.

To all portuguese allies I express my sincere apologies for this betrayal of the Portuguese Government.
