Good morning

It's been a massive time since 7pm AEST last night when the president of my former party, the ANP, removed my name from the ballot for Prime Minister/CP. Although I do not agree with what he did, I understand his reasons and I can't argue with them. I've made my fair share of enemies during my time in eRepublik and it was preposterous to think they were going to take my running lying down when I had a chance to win.

To be clear in any eventually, I hold no rancour towards Sir Constant nor any person who may have been involved. Politics is a contact sport and this should serve as an example to those with a thin skin that they don't have a place in it. If they do - get out now.

I would like to thank the people who sent me messages since then and for their support. I would also like to thank the Party Presidents who have offered me the chance to contest the election.

I have been playing eRep and been a major part of eAustralian politics for the last 2 years. I have served in every position of the Senate and Cabinet that I could give of my skills to help the country. Those were the best times of my e-life and I wouldn't change a thing. The Office of Prime Minister/CP was the last remaining office to contribute.

Getting into the December race, with far different life changes in RL compared to when I joined the game, I made it clear it was the only month I could give to eRepublik solidly into the foreseeable future. In other words, it will be at the very least this time next year when I can run again. Although by then things will be so much into overdrive I won't have the time. This was it.

It's obvious to anyone that right or wrong, these movements the past 24 hours have mortally wounded my campaign and there is no way I can get that support back three days out.

So, in taking the words of my dear friend Henry_the_8th: 'the planets have moved out of alignment and haven't been for some time'.

I didn't get into this race to divide a country. I believed and still believe that unless the great leadership of the current government continues, at the very least in the spirit and integrity of it, the crucial foreign re-alignments ahead in which eAustralia has a stake in, will cause massive problems for us if handled the wrong way.

Respectfully, I hold no hope in the skill and mindset of the current candidates to do that. However, I can't be a part of the political plays any more. I, too, have grown tired. People should be able to prove their merits on a level playing field. Again, I hold no ill-will towards the process. I just refuse to contest the election under the criteria it was set for me to do so. It's just wrong - plain wrong.

Henry and SC were spot on despite any influence behind the scenes - this country wasn't ready for my presidency.

Best wishes to all. I'm going fishing until my family and I fly out for our holiday to the beautiful Golden State in Jan. Been too long since I dropped a line in the water. I'll be back to my normal 'here and there' eRep life after then - but it won't be as a part of party or MU politics.

Australians all!
